Bought a 5TB lifetime subscription

Bought a 5TB lifetime subscription around 2019 Was told I had 14 days to download my data before it was deleted or I would have to purchase a new plan Company is crap and is clearly okay with screwing over customers Maybe I should purchase a new plan and fill it with junk and automate downloading as many times as possible This would cost them over 1000 per month in AWS data egress fees YES I am that petty

I too lost my lifetime membership I paid a few hundred pounds for 5TB of cold storage and suddenly the app stopped working I connected support and they simply said We apologize for any inconvenience caused but please note that deleted accounts or their data cannot be recovered as they are permanently removed You can now sign up for a new trial Polarbackup account from here Once done confirm back to us providing the email address you used and we will re-link your license key with this account so you can start using it We recommend that you ensure continuous usage of the account or subscribe to one of our monthly annual plans and keep the subscription active Avoid this company at all cost

Had a 2TB Lifetime account Account got deleted with no warning they re ignoring all emails regarding the deletion Do not buy ANYTHING from them upload and download speeds are horrible it s all cold storage so it takes forever to even get the ability to download your backups and of course they will change pricing or delete your account entirely with no warning while offering no way to recover your data Luckily my files were stored elsewhere as well or I d be on my way to their offices with some choice words in mind Hope it was worth it cause I m going to go from review site to review site to post this

Like most people I purchased a lifetime storage account for it only to be de-activated Complete scam

Lifetime plan not if you want to restore your files

I bought the lifetime plan and could not restore files Tech support said I needed higher level tech support to fix the problem and would need a subscription for that I purchased a lifetime plan I was forced to upgrade to a subscription plan in order to restore files I had backed up holding my files hostage to get me onto a subscription plan a company that does that is not one I would recommend to anyone
