Leisure Centre Westerwood
I had signed up to a rolling gym membership which turned out to be from Nov to March I was told I wouldn t have a cancellation penalty and could cancel at any time This wasn t the case I have paid 41 effectively for nothing for the month of February as I can no longer use the facilities as I am no longer in the area for work I had to contact the leisure department 3 times via email before a response and tried to call twice but as usual noone is there to answer I spoke with both the leisure manager and operations manager via email who just pointed out terms and conditions of a contract that was filled out after I signed this and I wasn t given a cope of my terms and conditions In hindsight bad move from me Worst thing is this is where my work book me for hotel stays and I can assure you i won t be using this establishment again for anything Dishonest staff and pencil pushing managers

Bad customer service
Very disappointed to find out the day before I m due to stay at their hotel that they no longer run it I booked a 2 night stay at The Westerwood Hotel and Spa for my partners 30th only to find out on the website that they no longer run this hotel and it s been taken over by Doubletree Hilton We had no email to advise us of this leaving us in uproar as to whether or not our booking was still valid Very disappointed this was not communicated to us and the option to cancel our booking made

What a joke of a hotel - 4 stars I think not
We stayed at the Slaley Hall for 3 days last week - we wished we hadn t The service for a 4 star hotel was appalling No one to help with luggage on arrival no possibility of a newspaper no room service the room was only cleaned once in a 3 day stay better breakfast in a travel lodge - greasy eggs undercooked bacon No one on reception for much of there time and the phone to reception never answered Restaurant not able to cater for all the residents so forced to eat in a noisy sports bar - is this what you would expect for nearly 500 per night - I think not Saw 4 women walking around the hotel with toilet rolls as they had run out and no one had replaced them - what a joke

zero communication 4 call backs requested by events team Sales Manager General Manager over the last week but no reply Guess I will have to take my booking for 30 rooms meals elsewhere

Not a good experience Would not use again
We had a 2 night stay at the Cambridge Belfry despite booking and paying in advance it took 35 minutes to check in I payed an extra 50 for an upgrade lots of extras promised on the web site Two paper cups no tea spoons no bathe robes The dinning room was very noisy tables in long rows with very little room The staff seemed to not care less wondering around aimlessly First nights meal was fine the second night we had the smallest stake they could serve 20 each Then we had the ice scream fiasco when the staff deemed to look in our direction and having to wave to get her attention asking 4 times when our desert would arrive it took over 30 minutes to The final thing when checking out I was charged again when pointing this out she said I was procedure and it would be refunded no refund yet

Used the swimming facilities the jacuzzi has been out of order for 2 to 3 weeks cleaning hygiene throughout is appalling no soaps in showers or plastic bags No plastic cups all reported but they seem to get ignored

Beware of Slaley Hall
Beware of Slaley Hall Hexham In January my wife booked spa treatments to celebrate her 75th birthday in February with our 2 daughters The telephone agent took the card details and confirmed the booking for the following month Two days before the spa day as she had received no confirmation my wife checked the booking to discover that their group of 3 was now separated into different individual times in that day Apparently this is completely impossible to change Spa days are the core of their business How can they get it so comprehensively wrong If it was OK in January just what had Slaley done to ruin their 250 February spa day remains a complete mystery

Absolutely disgusting
Absolutely disgusting When you have a complaint no one takes responsibility I have sent four emails and nothing When Belton Woods was a de vere hotel there were no issues Who is actually running the show here When you send an email to head office they send an automated response with an email address for their general manager which bounces back as an invalid address Give them a miss- when their profits are down they may listen

Dreadful website
I have booked two stays at different hotels upcoming September and October 2018 I have been online for over an hour trying to find my bookings - The website is absolutely dreadful No clues whatsoever I have a username and password but no idea where to use them Very off putting before I have even set foot in the place And no I don t want to spend a fortune on premium phone numbers trying to talk to them

Extemely disappointing golf break at Slayley Hall
The Qhotels booking dept don t seem to communciate with the golf dept We booked 2 nights for 3 people firstly booking 3 electric trolleys then changed them on advice from fellow golfers to ride on buggies only to find when we arrived they had neither WE WERE NOT TOLD ABOUT THIS We would never have booked this holiday had we known We struggled up the hills with the basic push trolleys one of us only playing 9 holes each day Ruined our longed-for break - no compenstion offered they had the cheek to charge us for the push trolleys Won t be going to Slayley Hall again We did complain at the time and wrote to them about or experience when we returned home They did apologise but we are still angry and extremely disappointed
