I have made the decision to move bank
I have made the decision to move bank account from ING to Rabobank in trust that it would be a better stable and trust-worthy bank How could I be so wrong The nightmare started with opening the account itself first red flag The system didn t identify my house number Hours of conversations with customer support and finally we found a clever soul that figured the problem and opened a case with IT to add the house number in the system All good second red flag I started seeing disruptions when my salary was not visible in my account immediately on pay day but I gave it a pass different bank processes maybe etc All changed when we went on holidays and I could not whit draw money with my debit card in several ATM machines In Europe Portugal 21st century I tried several times different days different locations also with my partners bank card and nothing so we decide to call Customer support and the agent starts by asking the normal questions where are you is it in Europe is the machine in a bank does it have the Mastercard symbol all was clarified and suddenly we figure out that the card cannot be used in all ATM machines Rabo is still working on expanding the network to all ATM machines I find primitive that I cannot move my account in Europe at a normal ATM machine issue I never had with ING I don t want to be prevented from moving my money because the bank doesn t want to bare the costs of an extensive network I will not drive for kilometers to an international ATM machine the scandal in Europe Solution for the issue Rabobank lost a customer Luckily I kept my ING account open and started transferring all my money back and funny again when I try to transfer money large sums previously defined in the settings the bank blocks the operation and says I have to call customer service if the issue persists Again I m not allowed to move my own money from the bank that is making my life miserable for the last month Rabobank never again I decide when I want to transact my money not my bank this is abuse of power and definitely doesn t give me a safety feeling

Horrible experience They don t inform you about all their conditions
I tried opening a ZZP account at Rabobank I tried opening it online a couple of times and none of them suceeded Everytime it didn t work account I called the customerservice And everytime they would give a different reason why it didn t work online All these calls and attempts to open an account obvioulsy took lots of time and energy Then the 4th employee of Rabobank that I talked to over the phone told me that since I am not a Rabobank client it would take THREE months for me to open a business account Of course they can have whatever policy they want but for me the problem is why wasn t this informed anywhere or by anyone else before If you go on the rabobank website and read all the information about the ZZP account available NOWHERE it says that if you aren t a Rabobank client yet it will take 3 months to open the account In fact it says in the website it should take about 3 business days The 4th employee I talked to told me that indeed this info isn t available in their website Also why the 3 other Rabobank employees I talked to NEVER informed me about these 3 months waiting time HORRIBLE experience aparentely if you aren t a client they don t care about you that s the feeling I got So I am not gonna open my account in a bank that doesn t inform me about ALL their conditions

Horrible experience opening an account
I am extremely and I mean extremely DISTURBED and SHAKEN by the way Rabobank handled our attemtp to open a bank account They asked heavily intrusive and non-sensical questions and denied opening an account based having a non Dutch ethnicity despite currently living in Netherlands and having an registered address and BSN number having lived in country X prior to application is just a racist code you understand when you hear it a person is born X where else were they supposed to live before coming here Denying a person opening a bank account based on ethnic reasons should and will have rammifications If nowhere else especially in the Netherlands a free and liberal democracy I will try and attempt to follow the full extent of powers that law provides to make them answer to this behaviour and the how it made us feel

I recently had the misfortune of dealing with Ravi bank and I cannot stress enough how utterly disappointed and frustrated I am with their services This bank claims to be a reputable institution but my encounter with them was riddled with unprofessionalism lack of skills in their help service and a total disregard for customer satisfaction reporting the case to and to my surprise everything was resolved within 24 hours I thank them and they are very rare I think they are new as well

Incomplete application retaining unnecessary personal information
I had an incomplete application to open an account I decided not to proceed so asked them to delete all of my personal information and to confirm when complete They refused to delete any of my information and said they would retain it for the next 7 years I don t even have an account with them there s been no transactions There s absolutely no valid reason whatsoever to retain any of my personal information for the next 7 years Their responses were very entitled I had to make an official complaint to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority I am so glad that I never actually became a customer of this bank

Quite terrible - exorbitant ad hoc fees - greedy - deep sense of entitlement - pickpocketing from your account and not much you can do afterwards Avoid Rabobank Behoorlijk verschrikkelijk - exorbitante ad-hockosten - hebzuchtig - diep gevoel van recht - zakkenrollerij van je rekening en daarna kun je niet veel meer doen Vermijd Rabobank

This company can only improve if it stops all activities and implodes Realy nothing is good anymore with Rabobank Nederland Now my accounts are locked again with a paypal transfer Nobody is there to reach for everything of service is locked behind a chatbot Which is of no help at all on the contrary the chat automation even makes things worse for you ANd despite they said locking of my account would never happen again gues what it lockes after 30 minutes after a solution that took 3 days They kept my money hostage they locked it from me And no one will help only after 2 days of trying to reach them

Disrespect and discrimination to foreign people
Wanted to become a client by Rabobank Went to the bank There they made copies of my documents and then said that I ll be called in next 2 weeks to open account because this is how they work In one week today 15 may 2023 they called me and woman i spoke with asked me unacceptable questions It was really very personal Here are couple of examples of questions she asked me - Why did you came in the Netherlands For love or How much earn your husband and why he is going to send you money to save instead to save money himself On my question what is the purpose of these too personal questions she answered that she required to ask it I find it disrespect and discrimination to foreign people and unacceptable behavior from the bank employee After that conversation my request to open an account was approved but I m going to close it as soon as possible
