We wish to share our experience of the outstanding service provided by Rainbow Bridge Professionalism and Excellence are complete understatements For years we drove past the sign Rainbow Bridge Pet Cremations With our dogs in the latter years of life expectancy our intention was that they would be laid to rest in the most respectful and dignified of manners That in mind we visited Rainbow Bridge Website and decided that would be our chosen way Like most Pet Owners we wished the passing of our beloved ones would be natural Unfortunately very often this is not the case Sadly the time had come for us to have to make that unenviable heartbreaking decision A downturn in the health of our oldest dog Popsie 16years 8months meant we would have to do what was kind and right Despite it being Friday evening we knew the phone call had to be made We were heartbroken and shedding tears My phone call was answered by a lovely soothing calming and friendly voice He introduced himself as JAMIE and despite my tears I immediately felt at ease He understood how greatly upset I was and told me to take my time Despite this being a business I was engaged in a conversation with a caring understanding and sympathetic Human Being and not some hard fast salesman He listened attentively without interrupting me and allowed me to spill my heart out He noted every detail I eventually asked what service could be provided for us as we wanted to say farewell in our own home He gently explained to me that their chosen Practice Vet only performed home farewells Mon- Fri evenings He advised us to take all the time we needed before making a final decision I agreed to phone on Monday Morning He informed me that he was available on the phone all over the weekend should I wish to discuss anything further My wife and I shed many tears over the weekend but knew the call had to be made on Monday morning Monday morning arrived and with a broken heart I made that phone call Expecting to hear Jamie I instead found myself talking to a delightful lady who introduced herself as LOU whom I later found out to be Co-owner of the business I thought oh no I will have to go through everything again Well no such worries as Jamie had detailed our conversation and Lou was fully conversant with everything I was shedding tears again but Lou just like Jamie showed me the same respect It was agreed that the vet would be with us that evening Her name was Paulina and she would phone us about 10 minutes before her arrival Lou also advised that there would be a dignified collection vehicle complete with stretcher if required The driver s name was Andre As Popsie was only a small dog I agreed with Lou that he would be carried out in his bed and then picked up when we collect his ashes Lou explained that the collection driver would follow the vet It was made perfectly clear to us that the driver would not approach our property until we had said our own private farewells and were ready to pass him over That evening as promised PAULINA phoned A real lovely caring lady She carefully checked the state of our beloved Popsie and confirmed that our decision was correct and kindest thing we could do Nothing was rushed allowing us plenty of time to give our farewell hugs strokes and kisses Whilst totally heartbreaking for us it was a lovely peaceful farewell ANDRE Collection Driver A true gentleman So polite courteous understanding and sympathetic His first words were So sorry for your loss He came into the house and said there was no hurry whatsoever He even offered to return to the vehicle and wait until we were ready We felt so comfortable we asked him to stay We had laid Popsie on his favourite little bed and asked if it was okay for me to carry him out to the vehicle It was very touching that as I lifted him Andre gave little Popsie a couple of very meaningful gentle strokes He obviously is a true animal lover When I placed Popsie in the vehicle I had no fear whatsoever of him not being treated in a respectful and dignified manner We agreed to collect his ashes the day following the cremation This was the first time we had actually been to the Rainbow Bridge premises We were quite stunned An absolutely amazing spotless place Lou took us to the Private Farewell Room This room was far better than many of those at Human Crematoriums The casket chosen for Popsie was laid out on a lovely linen surface adorned with flower petals When we collected the ashes there had been no mention whatsoever of money or the bill and it was us who had to raise the subject of paying If you want dignified and respectful farewells to beloved pets then this should be your chosen service Although a business be assured you will not be pressurised to any hard fast sales talk Highest recommendation
