AN ABSOLUTE JOKE
AN ABSOLUTE JOKE They brush issues under the rug and hope you don t find out like leaking pipes beneath the house their builders rush jobs some of their receptionists at Park Place couldn t have shown less interest in helping their management of the property is all over the place roads without tarmac even though they said they d be completed by June 2020 and the list goes on My most recent experience with them has been dragging for quite some time now as it involved a water bill that was strangely high for 2 people for less than 3 months whereas subsequent bills that covered 4-5 months were half that Wessex Water said it must have been a leaking pipe but that they themselves didn t send anybody to the property to fix Which means the people that lifted the tiles in my garden without saying they were coming and did some work to a pipe there plus the people in the white van pumping water out of the hatch where the water meter is were sent by the developer But nobody told us and still Redcliffe are denying they sent anyone over They truly are a joke

Discussed
I held back on reviewing Redcliffe giving them the benefit of the doubt hoping they would honour their promises in fixing a number of dangerous snags but now feel I m forced to write reviews upon nothing being done to rectify I m discussed with the lack of customer service when you spend over half million pounds on a property Since buying our front garden and much of the green area and roads around our property have been ripped up due to Redcliffe putting in the wrong size manholes we ve had a number of sewer problems kitchen cupboard door has fallen off landing on my foot a heavy glass shower door fell off while my daughter was in the shower the banister became extremely loose and needed replacing the replacement also fell apart in the workman s hands I had to call a gas engineer out as the flames from the hob were about a foot high turned out Redcliffe had set it to the wrong type of gas when installing a window shattered on it s own accord door locks have failed inch wide cracks appeared in the floor which they say is normal I could go on Redcliffe respond to emails only addressing items they want then ignore the rest It s quite frankly appalling

Further stripping our landscape and
Further stripping our landscape and villages of character and personality Don t for a minute think one of these properties is a home It is a product designed to make a profit cramming as many identi-kit buildings onto a site as possible Terrible shame there isn t yet greater regulation of these developments We will look back on this period of greed and poor planning with regret as our children and future communities suffer the consequences of building on flood sites

Redcliffe It s amazing this company is still in business
I have to agree with others here Redcliffe are a terrible company to deal with Right from the first contact with the rude sales person i should have known it was going to be a rocky ride The quality assurance manager and senior team couldn t care less They only address what they want and ignore everything else This is the worst company i have ever dealt with They employ the worst contractors the industry has to offer and see nothing wrong with this The whole project has been poorly managed and at every level from the ground workers to the roofers I only hope they start sorting issues out soon I fear solicitors may be the only way forward for me now

AVOID at all costs
AVOID at all costs We had a terrible experience with Redcliffe homes straight from the beginning We should have paid attention to the reviews on Trustpilot and regret that we didn t We paid the reservation fee and were supposed to see the plot a week after we paid it Less than 24 hours before the viewing we were told our viewing was cancelled due to them accusing of lying about having an offer Because of this we missed out on the 2 week window for the refundable fee When we were finally able to see our plot for the first time over a month after paying the reservation fee we saw that our garden was on a severe slope rendering the garden completely useless Not to mention the fact that there was no direct access no gate to the garden besides through the garage door which is a complete fire hazard Then by our own discovery we find out the land the house was built on had a soil test done which showed 30 different chemicals in the soil some of which were carcinogenic We then also found out that the land was severely close to a flood 3 risk zone To top it all off the sales agent Heather had a horrible attitude made the whole process painful and made it out like we were a nuisance despite the fact we were going to spend copious amounts of money on the house Extremely poor customer service and they refuse to answer your emails I would NOT recommend using Redcliffe A complete joke of a company

AWFUL
It s companies like Redcliffe homes that give new build developments a bad name We went with a smaller developer hoping they d be more hands on build better quality homes and care more about their customers experience but we couldn t be more wrong We lived in another new build property before and thought they were bad but these houses are next level of poor quality It s not just the houses the people involved in building and signing them off are terrible not to even mention customer service if you can even call that a bunch of people who struggle to reply to a simple email From start to finish the process was beyond stressful outdated and not customer oriented in the slightest From wanting 10 at exchange knowing from the onset the deposit was coming from the sale of an existing property to being so behind on the build our mortgage offer nearly expired the day after we moved inOn the day of the move they expect you to snag to whole property before handing over the keys and since the property is filled with defects this means the movers have wait outside for hours whilst you write down hundreds of defects We ended up having to move into a property where some of the lights weren t working the water in the shower was installed the wrong way round the plumber said he let the apprentice do it and was supposed to check his work but he didn t and as per his own words not everything can be perfect the roof was leaking flooring s coming off we had to have a massive hole cut out in the ceiling a couple of days after moving in I have never dealt with such an incompetent bunch of people from the so called quality assurance manager who clearly doesn t even use his eyes to assure anything especially not quality to rude builders who were supposed to finish the development back in January and are nowhere near done in May who huff and puff every time they have to move out of the way for people to access their own house yet spend most of their day sat in their vans doing nothing to customer service staff who for the first few months were giving out the wrong address to different contractors who came in and out to fix the snags to these very contractors taking 5hrs to fix a couple of scratched doors Seems as though either the directors don t have a clue how badly their company is ran or they simply don t care about anything but taking people s money I don t wish this kind of new home experience on anybody and will never get back all the days we ve spent worrying and stressing Spend your money elsewhere and not with Redcliffe who clearly don t value people or take pride in the products and services they deliver

Appalling Cowboy Builders on an industrial scale
We bought our house off plan in Feb 2022 on the strict understanding that the house would be completed by September We were assured that as Redcliffe was a quality builder there would be no delays no shortages of labour and no shortages of materials under any circumstances This soon turned out to be untrue the house was three months late we were then told that this was due to shortages of labour and materials see above However my wife and I were able to see the house being built and watched as for four months all work stopped on our house and the two houses opposite ours which were not even sold were erected from foundation level to rooftop whilst ours sat untouched In the end we had to threaten to walk away from buying the house we had a three month long stop on our contract at which point Redcliffe then rushed to complete our house in six weeks And boy did they mess it up We hired a snagging company to evaluate our house as there are always snags to be addressed expecting around 20-40 The guy who came round found over 300 major snags with our house I think he would have found more but he just ran out of time When I asked him what his overall Review was of the house he simply answered I ve seen worse I couldn t get any more out of him but he looked pleased to get in his van and leave We then found another 200 snags The central heating did not work when we moved in which was late December so we were stuck in a cold miserable house during Christmas whilst it was snowing outside It took six weeks and over seven visits for Redcliffe to sort the problem The bath seal leaked when we showered which ran down through the extractor fan of the downstairs loo below us As the fan comes on when you open the door the risk of electric shock was extremely high Whilst this wouldn t have been fatal to us we have an 7 month old daughter who would almost certainly be killed by such a shock Due to the heat being off for any weeks in winter the flooring shrunk so the entire downstairs Kardean had to be replaced as there were huge gaps between each plank Redcliffe initially refused to do this blaming their supplier We had to fight for months to get this fixed The bay window profusely leaked at 18 months It took 3 months and five attempts to fix this It turned out after many failed fixes that the canopy had been cracked when it was installed and the installer simply didn t care he just rammed the thing in and walked away from the job knowing full well that it would leak and cause huge damage The shower screen we paid extra for was not water tight causing leaks every time we showered in the bath We had this looked at over 15 times and replaced three times before it was finally watertight This took nearly two years for them to fix I could go on for hours but I ll save you the time We had workman in the house every single week from completion until our daughter was born some eighteen months And after four months after that we had the workman back in and have been every single week since They really are that bad And we re not alone every single house in our street has had a similar number of issues When getting our boiler serviced the plumber told me he had condemned five boilers on my street alone in a single year because they had been incorrectly installed That s how bad Redcliffe are they employ the cheapest possible workmen who usually send the trainees in to do the job and don t bother to check they ve done it properly So if you are thinking of buying a Redcliffe house for Pete s sake don t Get a Taylor Wimpey or Barratt or just go anywhere other than these clowns They treat you appallingly I would not wish a Redcliffe house on anybody You deserve better

One very happy homeowner
I ve just purchased a house with Redcliffe Homes and I couldn t be happier From start to finish they have been absolutely incredible The build quality is outstanding and they are completely respectful of the surroundings Every home has wonderfully well thought out features and a very practical layout Their sales advisor Sally has been incredible and so supportive throughout the buying process The after sales care has been fantastic A small number of minor snags and all resolved in a very timely manner with a follow up call to check everything is ok I could not be any happier to have chosen to purchase a home through Redcliffe Homes and would happily recommend them to anyone
