Review of Redway HR
We partnered with Redway HR based on a recommendation to provide an interim HR function for our Residential Children s Home Lesley from Redway HR has been flexible approachable accommodating open to feedback and knowledgeable about our sector As this is our first business we need to trust that the operation is in safe hands and although we are at early stages of our working relationship we are very pleased with the level of support and guidance we have received to date and therefore happy to recommend the service to others

Unbelievably bad
I opted for Redway HR s new employer bundle to produce the handbook and contract needed for my first hire All of the work for this was completed by other members of Liz s team and it was an incredibly poor experience The first draft of my tailored employee contract was not tailored at all to the point that it still had the previous client s name in it At Redway HR s request we had previously had an hour long phone call to gather the information they needed to tailor it making this all the more frustrating As a small business owner time is a precious commodity so having it wasted and paying for the privilege is very frustrating The document was also littered with typos and spelling mistakes I had to ask 5 times for this to be fixed Every time I was told it had been even though that was clearly not the case I escalated this to Liz and was told Word s spelling and grammar check was wrong at which point I listed some of the mistakes I then received an apology and she corrected the document This wasted so much time and completely destroyed any trust in the quality of the work they have produced What kind of a professional services company can t even use spell check One of the main reasons I selected Redway HR was that they had a recruitment specialist in their team I had to chase many times to get responses and promised work from this team member The eventual output which supposedly took an hour was a dozen questions which could easily be found within 10 minutes on Google So definitely don t factor this into your decision making I would strongly recommend to anyone looking for an employee handbook or contract that you save yourself the aggravation and look elsewhere In response to Redway s comments It is not true the only delay was caused by a team member being OOO for 2 days I only found out they were OOO after following up on an email from 3 working days earlier which had received no response I then received an OOO that they were away until the following week This was after they had asked to delay preparing the interview questions until I had candidates ready to interview meaning they made this work far more time sensitive than it needed to be Not to mention the numerous delays caused by the other issues outlined above The spelling errors were all picked up by spell check as they made no grammatical sense This was after the document had supposedly already been checked 4 times As for the direct debit it was the icing on the cake when I was threatened with late fees 7 days after the invoice was due because you set the direct debit payment up to be collected on Jan 14th as seen in my online banking and not December 14th
