Revenue should be totally remodelled
It s a big effort to be able to talk with someone and bigger to actually make them solve anything It s a shame to pay taxes for this level of service I expected more of the irish government shame

Awful experience
Awful experience I understand it might take time to answer a call because of the volume revenue receives but for them to hang up on me mid sentence or when Ive finally gotten through to an agent is just disgusting The agent I spoke to was speaking to me in a bit of a rude tone when I didnt know something about my account not everyone knows how to use the website or workout their taxes very unhelpful

The phone line doesn t have an option
The phone line doesn t have an option to hold on the line for an operator anymore I ve been trying all day and all I get is the line is extremely busy try again later and then it hangs up There s no other alternative number to reach Revenue and the app doesn t help much which my query usually I get the option to stay on the line until I get an operator to help me solve my issue So now what are we supposed to do Since you ve removed the option to hold on the line This isn t good enough in fact it s extremely bad since we re left with no other options as the phone hangs up o you Please change this to the way it always has been This is ridiculous who s ever idea this was to change everything a d to removed the hold option Now I m left with no help whatsoever so what am I going to do now Arrrrrggggg

Don t believe the 14 day letter for payment
My husband received letter end May to say the chq would be 14 days Rang twice over the past 7 days and just given excuses and that if they referred it this could add another 6 weeks on receiving the payment Apparently even though the letter confirms two weeks to receive a chq it takes another 3 weeks for the decision letter confs this and then another few weeks to receive the chq Absolutely appalling and not fit for purpose and sending cheques is a way of cheating customers from their money that shouldn t have been taken but did in April No high standards anymore only pass the book or cheque so that our money is kept with the tax dept I wonder if this re applies to year end tax applications

Totally unresponsive service Regarding the help to buy there are so much ambiguities like 1 they limited the file size to upload 10mb but the loan approval is 20mb and no way to reduce it to 10mb 2 they are saying Mortgage letter of offer andSigned mortgage acceptance form are needed It looks like just uploading the signed letter of offer is enough but no way to confirm this I called them and they said that no phone line for help to buy and you need to submit a query which takes weeks to months to get an answer They said that we understood you might have a risk of loosing your home but they can not help on the phone line This is ridiculous

Revenue Torture
Received a letter in November stating I was due a refund and asked for my Iban details My wife received a cheque the same day I logged in and added my iban details and sent the form back with the same details I ve now received another form asking me for my iban details I ve phoned 3 times now to speak to an official and endured the laborious pillar to post recorded speel speak here repeat to absolutely no avail it doesn t give you the option of hanging on in the end which adds to the frustration The over tax was taken from me at source but here I am waiting several weeks later when revenue ie could simply have sent me a cheque
