Poor quality training Dishonest and misleading
1 The SILP Significant Incident Learning Process training programme is poor quality and not worth 4 500 It is delivered by an unengaging trainer who struggles to make the content interesting The written materials are better but chaotically organised Once you qualify despite indications you will be given support you are left to figure it out alone If you ask for more help you are told you must pay 2 Six months after finishing the course I was finally offered a contract to complete my first review and a few months in the client requested I add another family I completed an estimated number of hours for the project and submitted it to all parties Review Consulting submitted a new invoice with a 4 500 increase to the client I requested information from Review Consulting about my new contract immediately specifically asking if I would be paid in line with the new estimate I had submitted For six months I received legally ambiguous responses including celebrating the contract s approval and repeatedly failing to respond to emails Finally it was announced that I would only be given 450 extra as there is a cap on reviews I had been expecting 4 000 When I expressed frustration and said this didn t make sense when they had submitted an invoice themselves for double the amount of money which surely reflected the additional work I was told that I could have a meeting to discuss how to be more efficient At this time I terminated working for Review I would struggle to see my treatment as anything other than intentionally misleading but I suppose catastrophically disorganised is also an option In that final six months they never issued a formal contract to the client for the new review despite me repeatedly saying that we didn t have a formal agreement for the work to be paid I have multiple emails where they set deadlines guaranteeing the contract would be sent but it was not 3 Failure to respond to emails was one of the most unprofessional aspects of Review Consulting The only time I received swift responses was when they were getting me to pay for the course when their attentiveness bordered on harassment As soon as the payment went through this changed I can t list all the excuses that were given because there are so many it was like a teenager telling you the dog ate their homework For the above reasons my impression of the organisation is one of a lack of trustworthiness and honesty
