BE AWARE
BE AWARE This is NOT a plumbing repair company In my opinion this is a Scammy Rip You Off Company created and designed to take as much money as they can from you in as many ways they can think of DON T SIGN ANYTHING QUESTION EVERYTHING TRUST NOBODY I paid 139 For them to fix a leaks in our hot water cylinder They turned up told me it was fixed and left not fixed It continued to leak so called them back next day under their so- called guarantee First thing the plumber did was produce another invoice for 125 He then showed us a photograph PROVING the joint was leaking when he arrived for the first visit which was the reason we called him in the first place I DEMANDED IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS THAT HE LEAVE OUR PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY I just wish I had read their overwhelming negative reviews before calling them in

No customer care and charged for wrong assessment
Rightio sent a heating engineer to assess my boiler and he suggested repairs that would have cost hundreds of pounds I discoverd later that his assessment was wrong - I can evidence this as a conpetent heating engineer from a different company subsequently fixed my boiler without replacing the part that Rightio said was at fault I emailed Rightio sending them a full description of what had happened and setting out how their engineer s behaviour had left me and my children without heating and hot water for 4 days They ignored me for 2 months and then sent me a letter stating that they would forward my name to a debt collection agency if I didn t pay them I took advice from both the Citizen s Advice Bureau and Which Legal - from this advice I believe that Rightio failed to meet the standards required under the Consumer Rights Act of 2015 The Citizen s Advice Bureau told me they would escalate the matter to Trading Standards I contacted Rightio repeatedly but never received an explanation The customer experience agent ghosted me and I received a further letter from them threatening to take me to court I have the email trail copies of the letters and a log of the telephone calls that I made The only time that they initiated contact with me was to demand payment I was clear that I had a case but as an NHS doctor and a single mum I finally decided that I didn t have the time to follow through on the legal process and so I paid them - for nothing I should also add that at 174 hour their call out fee was almost twice as much as the competent plumbers who fixed my boiler You can also google them and find that they were written up by the Guardian in 2020 for overcharging an elderly woman who was isolated in lockdown My advice - avoid at all costs

My elderly relatives called this
My elderly relatives called this Company via the phone book The Ad had a local number leading them to believe they were using local trade The plumber Andy refused to give me his full details arrived and immediately took card details On looking at the problem he stated that the leak was urine as he was missing the toilet This caused distress to them and my father in law called to complain He was assured a different plumber would be out first thing today Monday Last night we got a call from my in laws as he was struggling to turn off the water We came down and the leak had worsened It had flooded the bathroom hall and into the bedroom My husband got 2 gallon of water out of the carpet We are hiring a dehumidifier Jump to today 9 15 - no plumber or call I called the company and they said they had assigned an engineer and there would be no charge as it was the same problem She would call me when she had gotten an eta She would also get Customer Service to call 11 30 called again A different person told me no engineer was assigned He would assign one and call me back He would also open a complaint No call by 12 the deadline they gave for visit so I nipped my ma in law to the shop Guess what Andy the plumber turned up How intimidating for an 89 year old man Thankfully he refused entry As I arrived the house phone was ringing It was the company asking if we were cancelling the job The caller said he could see a complaint open and refused to discuss anything with me Still no customer service call At 2pmWe have a LOCAL plumber attending and as well as the bill for this we are asking for the 170 they were charged The longer they leave it the more inclined I am to bill for replacement carpets DO NOT USE RIPPING OFF ELDERLY CUSTOMERS NOT TAKING OWNERSHIP OF ISSUES CAUSED

Waste of time
After making an appointment to have my boiler serviced the engineer failed to arrive I contacted Rightio again whom told me that the engineer is running late would be with me by 5pm He never arrived I contacted them again the next day the head office contacted the engineer whom said when he would be able to fit me in which was a Thursday morning before 1pm again he never showed After contacting them to cancel any appointment they chose to propose due to their lack of professionalism they told me I would have to pay a cancellation charge I never did pay but worry as they have my card details

Beware
This company subcontracts to local tradesmen My combi boiler was making loud noises so had been turned off I was charged for a new pressure switch at a total cost of 297 spare part 60 was told I needed a new heat exchanger This was fitted the next day at a cost of 1066 new part 600 however I did not see a new part being brought in to my flat nor an old part being taken away and a heat exchanger is around 600mm by 300mm so not small I disputed the work and after a number of phone calls the last one being that I would get an independent heating engineer to examine the work Rightio agreed to send another engineer out to look at what had been done There were no new parts in my boiler and further more my boiler does not have a pressure switch at all The costs of the parts were refunded Things to take away Their labour costs are very high 180 vat There is an issue with quality control and their engineers can t always be trusted

Plumbing Fraud
I had a broken flush valve and on 5th Feb I contacted few plumbing serviced including Rightio through the call back service all I needed was a quote They called me back saying they need my address and credit card details in order to provide it I agree to give him the address as they need to see the distance travel time but not my card details They confirmed a diagnosis is not needed as I have already told them the Flush valve is broken i could clearly see it and it will cost about 120 VAT plus parts and if more than 1hr then price will go up too expensive I clearly told them I do not want to book the repair as I want to check with other plumbers first meanwhile I managed to fix it myself thanks to multiple YouTube videos 5 days later on 10th Feb they called me to book repair I said its not needed as i have now fixed the flush myself since then they are sending me texts and letter asking to pay them 194 4 for the diagnosis and the work done They did nothing I checked the number they called from 03303334538 and it is liked to plumbing scams I also received a letter from them on 12th asking to pay else further legal actions will be take SUCH A FRAUD I wish I could attach pictures here

I would like to submit a complaint
I would like to submit a complaint about the work done I called to say that my sink waste disposal unit was damaged and that the water was draining slowly The technician attended to the issue simply turned it on and said it was working We then tried to get it to work after he left with vegetables peels and it was still not functioning When I called back I was told that I would be charged an additional hour as there was no guarantee that he could complete the job in 50 minutes I was charged 194 to come and switch on the power I could not accept an additional hour charge because the technician did not do his job correctly in diagnosing the problem which I correctly reported and instead assumed that I just did not know how to use the unit In addition they wanted to charge almost an additional 500 for parts for work they had not even diagnosed Upon complaining to their customer service they lied and said they had visited the house twice and had diagnosed the issue and I did not want to pay A clear lie This site is a SCAM

I previously worked for this company
I previously worked for this company To start with I ve never seen a call out rate like rightio not even pimlico plumbers Absolutely rip off As I have previously worked for these and they have short falled me every time I will let you know what I think is a modern day con Something customer dont know Something ive just came to realise When a part is required for the customer A 70 mark up on top of the part is added A part that cost 50 now will be charged to the customer at 130 If you don t believe the above Google the part they believe is required I m sure if it s a honeywell zone valve should it be around 90 it will be double and more like any part Only if the customer knew they were being charged more than double the cost of the part required Tbh I wad shocked myself Not to mention the constant short fall in payments to engineers
