Rinnai Brand to be avoid at all cost no warranty
Being a trade professional I would over the last 12-15 years fitted many units but that was when Rinnai was a quality brand In last 3 years their copper heat exchangers are made from tissue paper now all failing in less than 3 years The warranty is a sham they start with want copy of benchmark the document ain t going to change the poor quality of metal Then they want service record again servicing ain t going stop the inferior quality heat exchanger leaking Then u have to drive to Gas Products to fill in a form They then try to say is it installed right Well we did warranty work for them so yes Oh it s scale Northern Ireland is soft water Then they want the address but they aren t sending anyone out so you ain t getting the address as they now seek to steal installers service work with sticker telling end user to get them to service it So 6 days on no response from Rinnai or Gas Products restaurant still closed loosing money Once a brand to be relied on now to be avoided at all times The old 24i used to last 10 year plus and stopped due to electrode burning away now the heat exchanger spring leaks wrecking the fan Warranty claims are made slow and diffcult in the hope that you might buy a replacement The saga gets better after demanding my customer address or they won t supply any parts The off hand and say it Gas Products problem who STOCK EVERY part and sort with them Well it s coming up on a week since unit failed I was told by Adam who was dodging calls they had both the fan and heat exchanger IN STOCK The I get a call later not from Adam or Alastair but Thomas We don t have those parts in stock Strange Adam checked and you are fully stocked Now will be another week restaurant closed The constant lies and stalling is a clear sign of an in reputable company who operate a funds cleared don t come near us Planning to buy a water heater then know the brand to AVOID at all costs

Customer support is dreadful
Customer support is dreadful People on the phone are nice enough but they make promises they don t keep This is the worst type of customer service possible and does nothing to solve customer problems It just builds resentment Shop elsewhere is my recommendation

Have to wait 20 min to talk to a tech
Have to wait 20 min to talk to a tech who could not answer a simple question then passed on to 2 more techs who finally said they would pass me on to tech support who would tell me if I could get concentric vent extensions they promised to get back if I gave contact info just wasted 1hr of my life

Rinnai hot water system failed on day one
Purchased two years ago Rinnai hot flow gas hot water system had problems with it from day 1- warranty claims and 6 interventions repairs thermostat failed twice and two thermostats later still fails and on and on it goes Tried to work it out with Rinnai very difficult to deal with Never purchase anything from Rinnai again Customer care very difficult to deal with Warranty claims very difficult to deal with

I would give 0 if I could
I would give 0 if I could I ve installed a lot Rinnai products but once it goes wrong just buy a new The warranty process and tech is the worst I have ever seen They make it so complicated for the guarantee and take days They will do everything possible to void the guarantee trust me avoid Rinnai

7 month old installation of an A26
7 month old installation of an A26 unit Failed due to a foreign body spider on it so not covered by warranty Despite being recommended as an external unit to be installed externally replacing unit that had been in place for 14 years Extremely disappointing from Rinnai and would buy an alternative next time and not recommend Rinnai product or service Their warranty seems to be completely false

The Rinnai unit performance unacceptable and Customer Support non existent
The Rinnai unit I have has been in active use for less then 3 1 2 years We have had numerous shut off of system having to replace two primary PCBoards and most recently have a bill for 1 500 to address issues with burner and heat exchanger To date we have spent 2 371 dollars on just service while still under warranty so parts are not in that figure With my warranty up in 7 2025 I cannot justify consuming to fix the Rinnai in that after July we will have to pay for significant parts that need to be replaced as well I have decided not to fix the system and will be replacing it with a new Bradford so as not to through good money after bad system Rinnai Customer Support is worthless with no offer to extend warranty nor admitting they have a lemon unit and refuse replacement Having no confidence in the Rinnai Unit once Warranty expires I have no alternative but to replace it My advice to anyone considering a Rinnai or currently have one with issues is to cut your losses now because you will get no satisfaction from Customer Support nor do they care about poor review which I advised them this is coming

Rinnai hot water system
Rinnai as a brand is good but their customer service in Australia is very bad I would think twice before buying hot water system in case something goes wrong The heart ache is not worth it
