My daughter has just ended a year of singing in a band in Rocksteady and has thoroughly enjoyed it She has gained in confidence and has just performed in a concert where she sang solo lead vocals I was so proud I d recommended the rocksteady experience to all parents

Seeing our son perform in his Rocksteady concerts is a highlight for us as parents and makes us so proud He absolutely loves his Thursday lessons with his band leader Vincent I have seen his confidence grow outside of Rocksteady as a direct result Not only does he learn how to play an instrument but he learns how to overcome his shyness in social situations So beneficial in many ways

When my daughter started Rocksteady she was lacking confidence she was too shy to perform at her first two concerts although was adamant she wanted to continue and stay in the band She has grown so much in her confidence over the last 2 years and now gets up on stage and sings her heart out in front of a huge crowd She has learnt mic control and sings in tempo I am so proud of how far she has come and am so grateful to the band leaders for continually working to build her confidence For us Rocksteady has been so much more than a school club

Best experience ever

My son started rock steady at a crucial time of his life whereby he had a passion to learn and play the guitar like his father who sadly passed in 2023 Rocksteady has been a massive impact on bringing him confidence and drive to his skills set Chris has been the best teacher for Yusuf and he has come along leaps I would recommend rock steady hands down it really boosts a child s confidence and mind set focus ongoing learning

Confidence-building

Our daughter has taken part in Rocksteady Music School for a couple of years now She has a lot of fun and we have seen her confidence grow to the point where she is at ease performing on stage I would recommend it even if you don t think your child is particularly musical as it has many benefits aside from learning a new skill

A fantastic experience and confidence builder

My son started this year with some confidence issues and had just been diagnosed with ADHD He already played drums but was desperate to start on the guitar We got him into rocksteady and his confidence has just blossomed He loves coming home and writing songs or starting groups with his friends He looks forward to every session and Daz the band leader is so patient with them The concert was wonderful too we can t wait for the next one

It s my favourite time of the school calendar when we get to watch the progress the children have made at the concerts Daz certainly brings out the best in every student which is obvious to see Love how he puts so much effort with lights and music into the performance it makes it enjoyable to watch Daz is friendly and approachable plus flexible if we need to swap around group timings Nothing is too much for him Year 6 teacher
