Terrible experience at Marsala Marina - Avoid at all costs
We rented a Bali 4 6 catamaran named Freezer in Marsala Sicily through Sailingsicily for a family and friends vacation Unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing Upon arrival we found the marina in very poor condition which immediately soured our stay The staff on site were cold and unfriendly not even offering a simple greeting an entirely unacceptable welcome The boat itself was in terrible shape mold dirt everywhere both inside and out The staff tried to blame the weather for this condition which is simply unacceptable for a rental of this caliber During our trip several damages occurred and although we were not responsible the owner is now trying to charge us for them This is nothing short of theft Additionally we lost a propeller during a maneuver which made our navigation much more difficult There was absolutely no concern for our safety they never bothered to check if we were okay or safe after the incident Instead they went as far as to tell us they would take the deposit without even investigating the cause of the issue As if that wasn t enough the boat s dinghy was in terrible condition punctured scratched with a broken handle and more Despite this they are charging us for scratches that were already there when we arrived insisting it was our responsibility to photograph them Moreover the paddleboard we rented as an extra was also unusable for the same reasons We spent more time dealing with these issues than enjoying our vacation I strongly advise against renting this boat or using the services of this marina Avoid it if you don t want your vacation ruined

Horrible action after being dismasted
In September 2024 we rented a boat Oceanis 45 from 2019 from SailingSicily In the middle of our voyage between Elba and the island of Capraia the main mast broke and the entire sails collapsed into the water At that time the wind was blowing at BF 4-5 Fortunately no one was hurt and after agreeing with the owners we managed to return to the marina Di Scarlino It was a long and challenging journey because the sailboat was difficult to control but we made it We wrote a report on the accident - we were absolutely not sailing beyond the boat s limits or the skipper s qualifications What followed was a terrible disappointment Sailing Sicily is still withholding the EUR 3 000 deposit even though we did nothing wrong and it was not our fault Communication is going nowhere we don t even have an insurance report After two months there is still nothing absolutely nothing Totally unprofessional behavior Absolutely no explanation as to why the deposit is still being withheld Get yourselves together and take action You are using someone else s money without any justification

Our boat was technically in good shape Due to the age 2017 of the boat it showed a lot of scratches Sailing wise it was a good boat with e g a new jib sail The service was good with personal attention when needed

Bavaria 46 chartered in Salerno Amalfi in May 2022
I chartered a Bavaria 46 Cruizer early in 2022 in Salerno Amalfi coast To my opinion contract conditions sound very strict and extra price list is long and high Contact in the marina was the contrary Very nice and supportive Boat handover was efficient and welcoming The boat was very clean and in good shape Apperently the first charter in this season I liked the perfect inventar lists with pictures at every lid Missing things were replaced It is good to document deviations on the protocol I had some minor discussions when returning but thanks to the protocol they were decided in my favor Marina staff was available throughout the trip on the cell phone for technical issues Just for trip recommendations I had to look for myself In Salerno I d charter again with Sailing Siciliy
