Incompetent customer service unable to handle returns

We bought a tonne of material from Dorset Soil Aggregates I would not recommend the experience What arrived looked different to what we expected We called them up shared a photo and Dorset Soil Aggregates agreed that it was indeed different than what we ordered but they assured us it was better and an even more expensive material We said we didn t want it and would like to process a return But they don t do returns They can process a refund if the customer figures out how to arrange the return shipping via a palette company We offered to pay for the return delivery We were getting desperate - we had a tonne of gravel on a palette sitting in the road outside our house They stopped responding They had suggested we contact the palette delivery company they use directly We did and the company pointed us to a more local delivery company they use Those people in turn said they did not work with one-off customers and suggested we go back to Dorset Soils Aggregates Ltd which we attempted but with no luck We gave up posted pics on social media offering it for free and amazingly someone came by and with a few car loads took the stuff away We obviously did not get a refund All was fine in the end but we would not recommend purchasing large quantities of supplies from this company
