"Still ignoring me"

Shawbrook ask for extra information which I give and then they continue to ignore me This is obviously just another one of their underhand tactics to get the bad reviews taken down There is no way this bank has good customer service and most of the reviews are from people with only one review People should read the one star reviews as they are all people telling the truth about this terrible bank and how they treat their customers

"I cannot take money out of easy access "

I cannot take money out of easy access account - called and called yesterday and they are sending an email within the hour they didn t link my nominated account I see other reviews on here about the same thing Guess what no email came through and I also used the message service on their site but this also hasn t been replied to Will call again tomorrow but it s absolutely absurd that you are restricted for a long time having access to your own money I registered a nominated account to open their account so it should all be ready to go They got me to do a confirmed consent online I did all this and still no email or function ability to withdraw If not sorted will be closing the account and move elsewhere

"Beware if you have a fixed rate isa "

Beware if you have a fixed rate isa with this bank and you want to transfer out to another provider as they will only pay you 0 1 interest whilst they hold onto yor funds for up to 3 weeks They did not process my transfer request for 2 weeks until the deposit matured and then only readied for transfer a week after I complained They still refused to make the transfer to my new provider They are essentially abusing their position to captive ISA savers who want to transfer This needs to stamped out by the FCA I was told in your reply to contact customer services and what a waste of time that was as they just requoted the 15 day guideline which enables them to maximise their profits using my money Even the person responding to my complaint didnt deny what I said I am awaiting the response in writing so I can take this up with the FCA

"They merge your Business and Personal "

They merge your Business and Personal accounts giving you 1 Customer number which can cause massive confusion I have had to wait 25 mins to speak to someone today and then they then have to transfer you to Business section

"Impossible to open an account"

Tried three times to open an account with Shawbrook Bank Their advisor Shannon was rude and unhelpful She was worse than useless Would not let me speak to a manager and was like a robot Why do Shawbrook employ such useless robots They could not care less Passwords do not work Text messaegs dont arrive Wait ages on the phone and then get cut off The worst experience of any bank AVOID at all costs

"BEWARE Shawbrook will steal your money"

I have an update from Shawbrook and they are now happy to ignore the main issue in my complaint which was about them stealing my interest by cutting my rate to 0 10 while unfairly holding onto my savings past my transfer request date They are now happy for me to go to the Financial Ombudsman Service And I am happy to do this as I will not give up until I win some compensation for the unfairness of this shockingly bad bank and how they treat their customers The Financial Ombudsman Service may just dismiss most people but I am not most people and I will fight for what is right and what Shawbrook have done to me and probably to many others is disgusting and should not be allowed to happen

"MISLEADING POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE"

I initiated the opening of a 1 Year Fixed Rate Bond Issue 101 at 5 16 and was prepared to transfer my funds into the account Even though it states in the T C that Shawbrook can withdraw your account at ANY POINT two weeks after initiating the opening of the account I contacted Shawbrook and was instructed to transfer funds from my nominated account to my Shawbrook account which I promptly did However the following day the transfer bounced back leading me to contact Shawbrook again only to be informed that they had withdrawn my account without prior notice No email or notification Despite my conversation with the advisor the day before at no point was I informed about the withdrawal of my account Upon filing a complaint I was informed that I would have to wait eight weeks for a response and the best rate Shawbrook could offer being 5 01 A week later upon following up on my complaint I was informed that it could take an additional eight weeks to receive a response and the best rate available to me had further dropped to 4 76 A month has passed since initiating the account opening process yet I ve encountered no success and every time I ring they tell me to wait another 8 weeks Joke It appears that my concerns are not being adequately addressed and the advice provided by Shawbrook is inconsistent It has taken alot of my time and I would not like this to happen to others

"Do not use Shawbrook Bank for bridging "

Do not use Shawbrook Bank for bridging loans they have little clue in regards to this The idea of people using bridging loans is to fast-track lending however Shawbrook does not understand the concept of this We applied a bridge against our unencumbered property worth 540k This should have been straightforward as there was no mortgage on the property and also we only required 40 LTV A desktop valuation would have sufficed however Shawbrook dragged its heels and prolonged the process causing a delay on our project which resulted in us losing money We will not be using them again or recommend them to anyone

"Awful company"

Awful company wouldn t give any stars if that were possible Bought a conservatory on 6 months interest free - buy now pay later No issue until went to pay loan off then it was a nightmare Firstly the interrogation as where the funds are from to pay the loan off then despite paying off full balance they still took the initial payment from my bank account Complaint upheld and told that I d get 20 compensation payment which a month later I m still waiting for Now getting emails saying they want copies of 3 months of bank statements to show I could afford the repayment - told them they can whistle for this information and if the FSA want it they can contact me

"The most frustrating banking experience ever "

Have been trying to move my Shawbrook ISA for ten weeks now into an ISA with a different bank which has much higher interests rates Shawbrook are still prevaricating making it sound as if the delay is a procedural matter caused by my own fault and the fault of my bank This is blatantly untrue as I had moved another two ISAs from other banks who managed to complete the process within a week I would like to stress that all three transferral requests were filled in at my bank with the help of my bank manager at the same time and with exactly the same forms The other two banks had no problems Meanwhile I have revisited my bank manager several times who confirmed that all relevant steps had been taken reminders sent out etc I have written to Shawbrook several times about the matter too I have rung them in person To no avail What else can I do short of turning to the Ombudsman I feel outraged Helpless And deeply disappointed
