My bills with Shell are so high that I have the heating on for no more than 3 hours a day just to ensure pipes don t freeze I wasn t surprised to read in the Times that as Shell took customers from several companies that went bust that they are allowed to claim back any losses by overcharging households I d always thought all energy companies had the same tariff but apparently not Would have been nice if existing customers had been advised that they were about to be overcharged as commented on by Darren Jones MPI ve written to my MP Sarah Olney but was told to ask Shell why my bills were so high We know why and if she - or the person who replies to her emails - doesn t then they should ask Darren Jones

Worst broadband supplier ever
I have signed up for a broadband package They have it booked for connection in November On the notification my telephone number was wrong I let them know and was told I would have to change myself once it was live I shouldn t have to do that So I have trying to cancel the contract Emailed twice No reply Told customer service on the chat line was told to ring a number and speak to retentions Tried twice On hold 30 minutes each time Now Open Reach have contacted my to say they are coming to switch it over Told them I don t want it They said I will have to cancel with Shell How the f--- can you do that

Attended Tewksbury fuel station today
Attended Tewksbury fuel station today 9 11 23 all four pumps were blocked by 2 large what I d describe camper vans The drivers were chatting after filling up but eventually went in to pay I could see them chatting again in the pay area so I got out of the car and walked up to the window to get their attention but couldn t the lady who I know now as Natalie said something to them so I went back to the car After another 3 or 4 minutes they came out and as they went through the door Natalie and the two men were looking at me and laughing and joking as if ridiculing me When I went in to pay I asked Natalie what was all the laughing about while she was answering me the other assistant Bob came over and said they were using two cards or words to that affect I said well maybe they should have moved forward a little to let me in She then said in a raised tone no you should have turned around and gone to the other pumps very rude As far as I remember there were cars at the other pumps and turning around isn t the best thing to do with cars driving in and out She kept using a loud tone which so I did the same because of her ignorance Not very proffessional at all Recommend better trained empathetic staff

Unsatisfactory broadband service Contacting them is a challenge and when you do manage to connect the staff are unhelpful I was informed that my broadband would be activated on 9 Nov The technician who came couldn t establish a connection and mentioned they d need to return As of 15 Nov I ve received no updates from Shell Attempts to reach out were met with unhelpful responses In a time when many depend on home office setups this service is crucial making the lack of communication and assistance particularly frustrating Regret ever choosing Shell

Do not go anywhere near these crooks
Recently I moved address I phoned Shell broadband staff and gave two full weeks for them to send out the router and set up the service They ask for thos 2 weeks only because they don t want to spend money and resources doing anything if a customer may cancel within that period anyway although they state officially that it s because it takes two weeks to get the line working which is also coincidentally the two week cool off period Three days AFTER the service was due to begin they still hadn t sent the router and the service was not live I phoned their customer services They initially gave me the wrong tracker code then they told me they had no idea where it was only that it had been sent out on 5th February In a later call they told me it had been sent out on 9th February on the very day the service was due to begin As a result of their ineptness I can t work from home my kids can t do their home and I m spending spending spending on my phone data I phoned Shell again today to say I wanted to cancel the service because of the above They said they would have to charge a cancellation fee because I m canceling outside the two weeks period I explained that there was nothing to cancel as they aren t providing a service They said the contract began on 9th February I asked them what they understood by a contract and their obligations Shell broadband only feel that the terms and conditions relate to customers not them Absolutely dire awful service The little people working there feel quite protected behind their brand name so couldn t careless about the complaints including to the financial ombudsman where this will be going Vile company

Informed Shell that l was moving from my address after one month and four phone calls my broadband account was cancelled from yesterdays date an appalling company full of incompetent staff l wont renew my contract at my new address so l will be charged 153 almost worth it not have to deal with them again
