Hidden fees and TERRIBLE customer service
When we requested a quote from shipoverseas they were fast to respond and offered the lowest price We are a military family that recently moved to Germany We now regret using this company because of all the HIDDEN FEES and absolutely TERRIBLE customer service We did everything as requested They charge 80 for Fedex on top of the price Payment must be done as deposit in a bank and then you have to Fedex overnight your title That was another 80 fee added we paid out of pocket The process at the port was a complete disaster but that s something shipoverseas has no power of and wasn t their fault However shipoverseas told us different price of the access fee we had to pay at the port It was way more than what we were told Even the process was explained in a different way and we lost some time trying to find out on our own what to do When we arrived in Germany we were supposed to receive our title in our APO mailbox we provided them with when we paid for their service They failed to ship our title and we had to wait weeks to get it Our car was already at the port but without registration we couldn t do anything Gary from shipoverseas claimed we don t need our title to register a vehicle anyone with a common sense will know that s a nonsense So we had to wait 2 weeks after our vehicle arrived at the port to register it Our title arrived by USPS - not FEDEX that we paid for We emailed Gary and after a few emails of going back and forth he refunded 50 I guess USPS charged 30 for a letter to be sent lmao Anyways we finally received our car after we paid customs and delivery fee Once we did we found out we had to pay storage fees from the day the car arrived to the day it was delivered It took that long because of shipoverseas yet they refuse to refund us for half of that invoice even though it was their fault Let me just say go with transglobal NO HIDDEN FEES with Transglobal and they come highly recommended by the military

Don t Bother
Don t Bother Having to worry about customs and cost and everything else that can go wrong with shipping your vehicle overseas is enough To minimize these frustrations use another shipping service When you email for a quote and the information they are giving you contradicts the most basic information on their site or quote page then that is the first sign that there will complications You read the website in hopes that you are getting as much information as possible to absorb to insure you comprehend enough to do your part When you get your quote and happen to have questions you will find the answer they give you contradict some of what you thought you knew from their website and their quote document Then when you reiterate where you got your conflicting information from their quote they simply repeat their email version over to circumvent the quote or website version So either take new notes or move on If not you have to worry if something goes wrong who to blame A good business is in line with its marketing material and customer You should never have to question the integrity of business for a service that is so costly Their professionalism will give you confidence

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM That s the email I ve sent him in response I received a cancellation of my order and a receipt transaction of 312 I would not come near them I told you the only day I cannot deliver the car to the port is May 22nd - that s the only day you have given me I ve tried to reach you yesterday many many times and I have left voicemail messages you didn t answer or called me back I reached on my own and contact all the people in hand and spoke with the shipment company KLine directly as well The cut off day is the 26 I spoke with Jerry from Trans Global as well and she said that she directed you that the cut off day is on the 25th I spent 4 hours on the phone jumping hoops with A1 Escort Ceres Terminal port KLine and trans Global to get the information I need I have to be honest that I am very disappointed of the service you are providing it s inefficient and misleading Did you really expect me to be able to jump to drive 5 hours to deliver the car without any notice Shame on you Plus Trans Global is highly recommend

Nasty Incompetent People Failed Customer 4 Times
I am typically a very positive easy going non-critical flexible person But I just have to warn others that my dealings with this company in trying to ship a car from the US to Costa Rica was the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER with any business 1 The information logistics pricing they gave me was constantly changing in very significant ways Example my drop off point was 1st Long Beach CA then San Jose CA then Freeport TX 1st it was to be shipped in a shared container then a private container and lastly trucked uncovered to TX The pricing changed each time 2 I tried and tried to communicate I needed at least 2 days advance notice of the pickup appointment because I live 4 hours from the agreed upon pickup point and can t just disconnect from my clients and run But out of the blue I kept getting calls from angry truck drives saying they were at the pickup spot Now and where was I I had to repeatedly explain their call was the 1st I d heard of an appointment being made and urged them to complain to Ship Overseas 3 Miron the owner and Kendra the coordinator despite constantly changing their information to me were nasty and completely inflexible of my needs as a customer They have 1 approach take it or leave it And if you don t like it Go F yourself Nice 4 All I asked was 2 days advanced email notice of the pickup appointment We tried 4 times and not once did I get notified of a pick up appointment But you bet within hours AFTER each missed appointment and angry drivers call Kendra would send me an email nasty gram scolding me for not making the appointment What appointment Kendra 5 I was trying to ship my car to Costa Rica ASAP because it is a donation to a Costa Rican friend whose business urgently needed the money Thanks to Ship Overseas 2 months was wasted and I still have the car And now we re facing December which is basically closed to business in CR shipping for the entire month These people are brainless and crude Find another carrier and spare yourselves the delay and aggravation

I ve got a lot of experience with this
I ve got a lot of experience with this company shipping 3 cars over 6 years I d describe them as the Spirit airlines of overseas shipping Sometimes they ll get lucky and you wont have an issue like our first time Our second time the car made it to Bremerhaven and the company said it would be difficult to honor the trucking portion of the contract within a reasonable time period We had to then go to the port to pick up the car This last time was a disaster We were caught off guard by some surprise port charges after the car arrived in port The port company expressed to us that we should have been warned about these additional charges Ship Overseas also botched the paperwork resulting in a 120 change fee- we exchanged over 40 emails detailing a 2023 vehicle but somehow it was written as a 2021 I called ShipOverseas trying to make sense of this however all this resulted in was Miron hysterically screaming

Thinks they know more than US Customs
These guys don t know anything about Customs laws or properly shipping a vehicle I wouldn t trust them in the slightest Their own Sales reps don t understand Section 192 1 of Exporting a Vehicle After talking DIRECTLY with Jason Owens Acting Chief Operating Officer at the U S Customs and Border Protection Gary still insisted that the ACTING CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER at the US Customs office didn t know what they were talking about Note to clients If your shipper thinks they know more than US Customs run

Scam I hired a container shipment to Spain for 3 400 The shipping line they chose is charging me an additional 3 400 in hidden fees to deliver my car in my country This goes against maritime transport law I will file a complaint and publish this everywhere

Outstanding customer service
I recently tried to ship a car using another company and was horrified at the customer service Thankfully I found Jack at Ship Overseas I was so put off by the other company A-1 see my review that I was apprehensive Jack sent a quote in writing immediately and answered all questions by phone and backed everything up with a solid email trail They had my car picked up in a couple of days and ready for shipment from Florida to Malaga Spain with no headaches or worries even before my check cleared I cannot recommend this company enough thank you Jack for getting my VW shipped to Spain
