Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service Got ridiculous invoice after our trip for parking outside the airport inside parking lot in Oslo due to the fact that car would not work because Sixt did not change language from Norwegian and we could not connect the app to the car which car navigation would not work without We could not connect the app inside the parking lot either change the language As a result we had to stop outside because car started to yell in Norwegian as something was wrong As a result received ridiculous fine because simply service person did not warn about that we had to leave right away from parking lot and Sixt customer service was not helpful to assist to figure out the fine situation

What a rip off
What a rip off Got charged an additional 600 for excess mileage at roughly 1 per km that was not mentioned at pick up and not clear in the contract Won t use them again

Very bad experience
Very bad experience I don t recommend this Sixt office at all I booked a small car and they gave me a big one When I asked for the small car the boss denied it to me even though they have one small car available at the parking lot I need a small car because of my physical features They told me that I could rent a car with any other company

Extremely bad experience
Extremely bad experience The rental agent told us up on collection to return the car on more than 80 charge to avoid the charges We returned the car on 91 then still charge a fee on my card 2 weeks after we return the car Also they charged my card for an extra 600NOK and after several ways of contacting them via phone and email they still can t explain the charges Don t trust the rental agent at the desk and you need to be extremely careful I had another booking with Sixt after this experience I decide to cancel the booking and rent a car with someone else

Upcharges in Bergen
They upcharged from the car type saying the initial car I rented was unavailable then that the new car type required an increased insurance that covers everything because it is a new car then charging an extra car for fuel issues despite having returned it full Strongly recommend against renting in Bergen

Do not rent a car at Sixt Rent a car at Bergen Airport - not trustworthy
I am writing to express my disappointment and dissatisfaction with the car rental service I recently experienced with Sixt at Bergen Airport I rented a car from Sixt company on the 8th of July with the understanding that it was due to be returned on the 10th of July However due to unforeseen circumstances beyond my control I was unable to return the car until the following day the 11th of July The reason for the delayed return was a rockfall incident that occurred on the main road between Voss and Bergen The rockfall caused the road to be closed for safety reasons leaving no alternative routes for travel On the 10th of July I promptly contacted Sixt Bergen office via phone call to inform them about the situation and to explain the circumstances that prevented me from returning the car on time The representative I spoke with confirmed receiving the information regarding the road closure and assured me that they would make a note of it in the system Despite providing this information in a timely manner I was disappointed to discover that I was still charged for an additional day of rental Their service level is very low compare to Avis and Hertz Don t trust them as I informed them and got confirmation from Sixt staff that they won t be asking me to pay for the extra day As a result After careful review of my case they must inform me that the terms and conditions outlined in the rental agreement are binding and they clearly specify the pick-up and drop-off dates and times As stated in the agreement any changes to rental agreement including extensions or modifications to the rental period incur additional costs This is a Force majeure situation and really difficult to understand the explanation of the company Poor service poor customer satisfaction

They are trying to charge me 10000 NOK for damages I didn t cause - and I can prove it
I got a flat tire on my car and took it to a shop dealership to get it fixed They couldn t get it done the same day but offered me a loaner car from Sixt to use for up to three days I accepted because I had to get home No public transportation in my area I drove the car for about four miles and I didn t even bump into a bush The car was parked in my driveway over night and noone has been even close to where the damage is Upon return I filled up the tank which cost me 59 kroners I was not given any form of paperwork when I got the car just the key I was in a rush and it was raining a lot so I took pictures of the car and left I didn t see any damages before I left and as I didn t have the damage form for previous damages I couldn t check and verify either The contract was sent to me the next day a couple of hours before I returned the car I signed it as I hadn t spotted any damages and whatever I would spot in my driveway would still not count I returned the car without any issue Then I get a warning e-mail saying that they have found damage to the car Then an e-mail with pictures of some scratches above the back tire on the right side which they say I have to pay for I check the pictures I took and found that the scratches were already there I have geolocation time and date for the pictures so I circle them and send an e-mail back with pictures and an objection to the bill Dead silence for a good week and then I receive another e-mail today saying that they are going to charge me 10000 NOK for the damages They didn t even mention what I wrote in my e-mail so I suspect they haven t even bothered to read it The total amount for those tiny little scratches that are not even deep enough to go down to the paint is set to 14300 kroners including taxes Sixt are crooks stay away

Stay away from SiXT Gardermoen location
Stay away from SiXT Gardermoen location for your car rental needs They are not trustworthy We were traveling back from Flam to Oslo and were running bit late Tried calling them no one picked up the phone After return we went back to desk to return the keys We were 45 minutes late and checked with them if they are charging extra day Mr Ludwig the person at counter confirmed with his manager that we won t be charged However after a two weeks we see a charge of 134 on our credit card Upon inquiry Mr Ludwig said that it s past the refund date and we won t get our money back They are not transparent in their dealings and charge you extra money after a lapse of few weeks Please be careful

Please DO NOT rent from Sixt Bergen
Please DO NOT rent from Sixt Bergen I rented from Sixt Bergen for a 2-week stay in Norway When they handed me the keys at the counter they informed me that the car they were renting me had several scratches I took pictures of the scratches indeed there were many and hoped I had documented them all However when I returned the car Sixt Bergen sent me an email a mere hour after drop-off saying there were damages to the car and to provide them with any photos I took Of course they didn t indicate where the damages were but still demanded photos of the car within 3 days of the email I didn t respond to that email After the 3 days I received an email with darkly lit photos of 2 insignificant scratches on the bottom of the front bumper that they said they would need to get repaired and I would likely be charged my deductible To this email I responded and asked for better photos and for them to provide me with documentation for my insurance company A day later they said they could not provide better photos because the car was out on another rental and they were going to charge my credit card USD 1 200 for the repairs WHAT A JOKE I responded and asked that they not charge my credit card because I said I would go through my insurance company and they said they d send me an invoice for the damages instead What s more I noticed that my final rental invoice had 2 fuel charges one for USD 80 and the other for 99 I contacted them about this and they said a mistake had been made and they d refund me the 80 I did receive the refund but had I never noticed that charge they would have gotten away with it When I looked at Reddit reviews of Sixt Norway many other people had this experience as well so it seems to be a pattern with them and foreign customers All in all this place is running a scam Please avoid them and rent from any other company
