Blatant damage overcharging
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCAMMERS First time renting from Sixt but far from first time renting a car and we ve never had such a terrible experience They are absolutely scamming people and why Sixt corporate doesn t care I ve no idea Same story here rented no issues on drop off they combed over this car with lights and grids seriously they were inside the trunk and sitting on the hood inspecting the windshield with lights They found two chips in windscreen there were a bunch of chips only two were ours apparently and a microscopic dent on the wheel well The car was completely covered in frost when we picked it up and they only show you photos of the prior damage nobody comes to the actual car with you We didn t do anything to this car and have never had any issue over years and years of travel Got a bill for over 1400 which we refuse to pay even though our credit card would cover it This is a ridiculously obvious scam and it needs to be stopped I assume Sixt at the corporate level could stop this and they don t so I guess that tells you what you need to know about this company at large

False damage claims
NEVER RENT FROM THEM I ve been renting cars from many different companies for many years and never had any problems Yet Sixt Slovenia have gone expert in scamming people over the years During my latest rental with them I was pressed to pay more than 300 for inexistant damages to the car you can clearly see NOTHING on the check-out pictures How they operate No one would be there to do the check-out with you Once you re gone they have plenty of time to find inexistant damages to accuse you of and eventually there s nothing you can do except to pay After a couple of reminders one-sided email they NEVER replied to my emails they will threaten you to use a debt collection agency to recover the money and they ll blacklist you from SIXT worldwide It appears that a similar case happened to other colleagues of mine and Slovenian locals with that same rental agency Truly unethical unprofessional and disgusting behavior If you read this make you a favor DON T RENT from them

Sixt is a zero star company
Hired car for 1 week Incurred very minor scratch to underside of bumper 150 repair in Uk Got billed 741 Luckily had private damage waiver but this doesn t justify such blatant overcharging Also got an inferior car to what was stated although for the same money Will never use again Wish I d their awful reviews before I booked Beware

Excessive charges for minimal scratches
False damage claims This is why it s important to read reviews before you use a service I see that others have had this problem with SIXT as well If you do a google search you will see that this has happened to many people in many different countries I guess it s a common practice for this scammer company Do not use them listen to the 100s of people who ve been scammed There s allegedly a scratch 5cm on the front bumper For this they are charging me a whooping 800 euros it s absurd

All they want is an extra 240 fine
I would give zero stars if there was an option Last August 2023 I rented a car for a week in Slovenia with Sixt through DiscoverCars Returned car didn t notice any damage A week later I received my 500 deposit back However a few weeks later I received a letter from Sixt claiming there were damage on door and wheel and they want to charge me 428 They claimed they tried to email me but couldn t understand why they couldn t get through This delay has resulted in my Full Coverage Insurance that I have paid extra for being void as it had pass the 28 days time limit to make a claim So for the last six months I have been in long conversations with Sixt and DiscoverCar over this matter However both companies are not very helpful as I truly believe they are working together to scam the poor customers The latest is that Sixt has employed a local UK debt agency to chase me down and DiscoverCars has categorically said they will not pay me back the cost if I do make the payment I am tired of fighting with them and I don t want to give in and lose 428 through no fault of my own and I can t claim it back So stay well away from Sixt and DiscoverCars as I believe they are scamming people on an international level Sad thing is there are many similar cases here

READ THE REVIEWS before you plan to
Everything was fine unit returning the car When they pointed out a small dent which you can hardly see They checked over all the car in 10 seconds until they got to the mark which they seen straight away yet me and my partner still couldn t see it after them using a torch and a piece of paper Show you a car in a UNLIT car park so it s hard to check to begin with AVOID AT ALL COST THESE ARE SCAMMERS

READ THE REVIEWS before you plan to rent a car with SIXT Ljubljana Unfortunately we didn t so now we have to pay the price We had booked a specific car and had a full insurance through a third party The salesperson was pushing that we should get an additional insurance directly through SIXT as well When we said no thank you she gave us the keys to another car We did not think about it too much and the car was fine when we looked for damages other than the little dent that was stated in the documents Little did we know that there was a big scratch UNDER the car that could not be seen if you didn t bend over completely The day after we returned the car after having no issues when we had the car in our care we got notice of the new damage which they claimed that we caused The scratch was big and it would have been unimaginable that we wouldn t have notice it if it had happened while we were driving and as mentioned the location of the scratch could not have happened while the car was parked We are absolutely convinced that the scratch happened before us and they purposely left it out due to its hidden location from the documents as a previous scratch to get more people to pay for the old damage Avoid at all costs

Scam Artists stay away from SIXT Ljubljana Returned our car and they twice refused to do a check sheet boarded the plane and they sent me pics of damages 600 worth Have argued for months with them and now want to take me to debt collection

Fraudulent company
When we picked up the car they quickly reviewed the extra options and services which we declined They had us sign a document without properly explaining it Weeks after returning the car we were unexpectedly charged an additional 60 with no explanation This charge wasn t mentioned in our booking confirmation Upon reviewing the signed document we noticed two prices one without the 60 and one with it They had us sign the document with the extra charge without informing us The invoice we received weeks after returning the car also included the 60 without any details We feel misled as our booking confirmation DID NOT mention any extra costs neither were we informed about the extra costs Having considerable experience with car rentals I have never encountered a situation where inexplicable charges were suddenly added to the bill while picking up the car Our experience with Sixt in Ljubljana feels like a scam
