Pet microchip scam email

I received an email from a company called petchip network stating that my dogs microchip had expired and yes you guessed it they wanted money to continue his microchip tracking which obviously is important should he go missing My dogs microchip was registered with Smarttrace so the email rang alarm bells for sure I immediately contacted Smarttrace for their advice Joanne from Smarttrace replied to my email and confirmed that petchip network is a scam site and to not pay them any money which luckily I hadn t Joanne was extremely helpful and by answering my query quickly and efficiently she put my mind at rest and prevented me from worrying any longer than necessary 10 10 Joanne at Smarttrace
