A Stress Free Holiday Experience
Myself and my family have enjoyed several holidays booked through South Devonshire Holidays and the lodges have been amazing Aside from that the customer service has been exemplary We were kept informed in the build up to the holiday and any query whilst there was answered swiftly and resolved the issue immediately adding to a stress free holiday I would highly recommend

South Devonshire HolidaysWe were looking for a Lodge Lettings Agent and we found this Company Right from the start we felt in good hands A personal meeting with Jason who explained in clear detail the process of successful letting He has a clear track record of success with some of my fellow owners achieving Letting levels beyond their expectations Jason has helped us upgrade to meet the demands of todays market and has been available when ever needed No this not a one man band the support staff are equally attentive and helpful To sum up this Company is both Highly Professional with a rare personal touch You feel cared for

Absolutely awful - 47 primrose Devon Holidays
Edited after shocking reply from owner management Firstly we have not requested a refund in anyway what so ever For us there didn t seem to be any point to that as a request as it was clear how this business was being run And it being clear you are happy to very much over charge for nothing more than a 2 star experience if that Secondly we have photos time stamped of ice cube and state of whole premises And happy to share Had we not have called finlake and expressed our upset nothing would have been sorted for my sons to swim Yes we did chat with your staff member she was lovely however she didn t come back when she was meant to - hence sauna not working once while we were there It s saddening you won t take an honest review and take appropriate action to ensure no one else has such a grubby and unpleasant and stressful stay But instead lie and throw insult I shall now look to take this further Original review We booked deer lodge through virbo and received email few days before saying due to lodge being sold they have upgraded us We were not upgraded Put us in 47 primrose Day one - hours spent trying to sort out being able to use faculties and finlake won t deal with private bookings devon holidays took us 48 hours to finally use pool When I contacted deven holidays they just sent us number for finlake Lodge was unclean dried food on plates and cutlery Fridge had ice burg in it so not holding safe temperature Oven was disgusting Sofa smelt and each cushion was stained Walls grubby Beds do not have luxurious mattresses like advertised Sauna - never worked Grubby Uncomfortable and not what we paid for Worst break we have ever had and it feel alone our money and holiday was stolen

Lazy Bear Lodge
Booked Lazy Bear Lodge was really looking forward to it We arrived early messaged them for key code number no reply called the office and they gave us the key code number eventually we found it Went in had a look around Came across a bath mat and toilet roll out side what looked like a cupboard it was in fact the bathroom It had not been cleaned vomit towels and gents underpants on the floor Called the office to inform them of what I had found they said we could be relocated however the standard of cleaning and the ambiance of the place left a lot to be desired We were given 47 Primrose the access to this property was not suitable for a 85 year old person We did not accept that one we finally got to another lodge which was brilliant the only downside is that it did not have a sauna the one we booked had the hot tub and sauna It was a great improvement However I felt that we should have been compensated for this disgraceful finding in the first lodge but instead we were told it was because we arrived early 20 minutes early had they said not it is not ready we were quite prepared to go for a look around and a coffee Instead Jason kept blaming us for arriving early He offered us a voucher that is no good to me I don t want to have to spend money with a company that did not respect our position to be able to use the voucher I have plenty of photographs of what we experienced none of the points I raised about the first cabin were addressed It did dampen the atmosphere of what was a much needed break The website photos are very misleading

Awful Experience that ruined our weekend
We had a terrible experience with this company A few things went wrong and they had no interest in putting it right We should have booked the cottage with our usual Hoseaseasons who are reliable and have staff on site to put things right straight away when and if something goes wrong On our arrival the cottage was extremely cold and we realised there was no working heating or hot water We called Devon Holidays and couldn t get hold of anyone in the end we had to call Security who managed to repair the boiler this was sorted after 12am Security could not believe that the boiler had not been serviced With young children tired and cold this was not a good welcome The following day we used the hot tub and put our towels and swimming costumes in the washing machine the washing machine was blocked and wouldn t stop it went on for over 4 hours despite us choosing a quick cycle We were unable to open the door as it was full of water Again we called Devon Holidays to ask for someone to help and again there was no answer We had to pay 60 in advance to use the swimming pools and Devon Holidays didn t refun this money This is unreal The Cottage we stayed in should have been properly serviced before our arrival and Jason the company director should have accepted that the cottage was dated and should have been checked before our arrival instead he took 2 weeks to reply yo our messages and gave us every excuse in the book We wanted to support a small local company gave them a chance to put things right and they ignored us We won t be making that mistake again

I have been working with Jason and I never have spoken to someone as compose as calm and as professional as him When looking for someone to deal with I am always considering the attitude of the person I will be dealing first before I trust the business I trust the person first and I trust Jason as Ican see he that he is a very dedicated person as well in terms of promoting his Lodging Houses he is open to new learning and new ideas just to improve his service As a Business Development Specialist I even advised Jason to build logding houses in our country as I know he will definitely succeed here just by knowing his passion towards his business His ultimate goal for this business is to give Joy to the people Success is measured when you are passionate on what you are doing Success is happiness and I ve seen all these with Jason Treeby
