Big warning for people who want to go
Big warning for people who want to go for hair transplant I spent nearly 10k for hair transplant here the hair line are done worst planted 2500 grafts and feels like 500 grafts and it s been almost a year now after the payment and surgery they will never call you or message you you are alive or not

Suggest Using Someone Else
Waited 8 weeks for initial appointment Cancelled due to a power cut - things happen I get thatWas called informed I would get an appointment later that day - didn t happenI called the central team and was told I would get an appointment the same week and eventually spoke to the Chelmsford branch as I had been told only they could organise it They couldn t and told me to ring the central team who then offered me an appointment in a further 6-8 weeks time Waiting a call back from the area manager This company who is representing the NHS is an absolute joke Update - The area manager has arranged an appointment for the same day and a cab to take me and bring me back but sadly one person is not the company

Appalling response to Medical Emergency
Appalling response to Medical Emergency Hotline call Called to report pain and vision problem suddenly occurring a week after cataract surgery Was told an opt specialist would call me back shortly Two hours later and still no contact Tried to ring emergency line back and after 15 minutes holding still no answer I finally got a call back at 1718 hrs Five hours after my first call to the Emergency Hotline I was so angry and suffering a bad angina attack that I couldn t answer it for fear of getting even more stressed I m treating the eye with regular dosing with the prescribed drops Medical Emergency Hah You ll be lucky to get a response They re good at production line surgery but rubbish at answering Medical Emergency Line Cannot think what to do next Answer Don t have a problem You ll get ignored

Appalling customer service
My husband had left eye surgery in February and right eye surgery was booked in for end of March We turned up for the appointment early morning and were told that it was cancelled without his knowledge He made a complaint asking for an explanation as to what went wrong but still waiting Then hospital offered him an appointment which he didn t want but he was told to book it so they can offer him an earlier appointment if there is any cancellations He had to cancel it because they didn t contact him as promised They rebooked it in May but had to cancel it due to an illness We have been trying to rearrange his appointment for the middle of August but they can t do it because the gap between the first surgery and second is too far He would have had the second surgery done in March if they didn t cancel it All this happened due to a human error on their side Why can t someone use their common sense to admit their mistake as we have accepted the error and offer him a date he can attend rather than making his life more difficult He is already struggling having to work wearing a pair of glasses with one lens on as opticians would not make glasses until both eyes are done I am very disappointed for the way he was treated by Spamedica

Warning
I had a cataract done in January 2024 and my vision is worse now than it was before the op I wish I had never gone to Spa Medica I would like to warn people to make sure that if you have astigmatism they inform you of the choice of lens you should have No one advised me so I had the NHS lens and now my sight is awful If you have astigmatism it is advised you have a Toric lens which had I been given the choice I would have had even thought I would have had to go private I am now under the hospital hoping they can help me I am so angry and feel they have been negligent in not giving me the correct advice

SpaMedica their call centre - the problem causers
i had a cataract removed in May had sight for 4 days but the eye became red so I called their emergency number which turned out to be a call centre as they can t be contacted directly I was told someone would call me but called again after 2 hours was told to use dry eye drops more often My sight then blurred became very sun light sensitive after calling again in an emergency I fell down the stairs called them they made an emergency appt examined me I said I had a membrane growing in the eye I explained that I m not computer literate don t drive so go out to shop using public transport After many calls I saw a surgeon who examined me after typing everything on the computer he mentioned laser treatment without any other discussion went home I called them again was told that they will see if I m suitable for laser treatment put me on a waiting list but so far nothing else has happened There s no hurry emergency or interest in my situation or the discomfort difficulties being caused I ve just been left Spa Medica are unprofessional unhelpful so long as they know what s going on the client doesn t need to They hide behind their call centre who are equally unprofessional unhelpful whose managers are unavailable so nothing further happens The only inconvenience is to me as SpaMedica their call centre are obviously unaffected I will definitely take things further should I fall again

Beware no aftercare whatsoever 24 hour Emergency helpline is worse than useless and advises a call back within 24 hours which is completely useless in the case of an emergency

Honest Review Beware Before You Book Please be aware this was the worst experience ever At the beginning of my consultation I spoke with a nurse named Star who seemed very nice and knowledgeable However everything changed afterward When I went in for my hair transplant I never met or spoke with the doctor Instead I was taken to a small room and was not allowed to have anyone with me even during the consultation This felt awkward and completely unprofessional The room itself was tiny about the size of a full bathroom which made me extremely anxious My panic and anxiety were through the roof yet I was rushed and told to hurry or I would lose time The technicians performing my procedure made me feel like they were practicing on my head rather than providing expert care The results A complete disaster I ended up losing more hair than ever before Two years later I am still beyond dissatisfied and disappointed I paid for 3 500 grafts but only received 2 700 yet the cost was never adjusted With financing I ended up paying 10 700 for something that has negatively impacted my life every single day I now have bald spots and continue losing chunks of hair My Advice Make sure a licensed doctor is actually performing your transplant Ensure you re comfortable and don t let them pressure you into rushing the procedure Don t fall for high-pressure tactics telling you to do it now or risk losing your money Consider PRP treatments instead it actually helped me I have pictures to prove my results don t make the same mistake I did They don t care about you once they ve taken your money Find a reputable doctor get a proper consultation and confirm that a qualified professional not just technicians will be performing your procedure There are far better clinics out there with real doctors who will guide you through the process properly Be careful do NOT get a hair transplant here

See a real Dr Worst outcome for a hair transplant that was NOT even performed by the DR I did not meet or consult the DR BEFORE OR DURING Horrible place Would your technicians or nurses not know that you should never put someone under anesthesia when they are panicking Also the damage and puncture wounds from where you took the hair have caused me to lose chunks of hair This is an honest review to encourage people to see a doctor not a technician A hair transplant is a serious procedure that impacts your life daily This surgery caused me to lose significant hair and has negatively affected my life in many ways Additionally I want to mention that you should have adjusted the cost I was charged for 3 500 grafts but only received 2 600 An extra 2 000 for what The cost should have been adjusted accordingly Finally I do not need to see you for PRP What you offered me instead was another hair transplant at a lower price NEVER Even if it were free I would never accept another procedure due to the horrible outcome Please everyone make sure a doctor is performing your hair transplant not technicians from a third-world country practicing on your head
