Great team of tutors

I first heard about Spark Tutoring on BBC Surrey radio while looking for a tutor for my son Tharusha for his A Level Physics and Computer Science Their ability to communicate effectively and tailor support to Tharusha s needs was what attracted us The young tutors at Spark were fantastic connecting well with Tharusha and providing targeted assistance They significantly improved his subject knowledge and used plenty of practical questions to enhance his learning The support for Tharusha s Computer Science project was especially valuable helping him complete it confidently Overall Spark Tutoring has greatly boosted Tharusha s performance and I highly recommend their personalised approach to education

Great experience with Spark Tutoring

I found Spark Tutoring when searching for local tutors I instantly was drawn to their approach to tutoring young people their drive for excellence and I was pretty impressed with their business model and entrepreneurial skills Oliver had been out of school due to anxiety on and off for nearly 18 months between years 7-9 I wanted Spark to plug some gaps in his learning and build my sons confidence again in his abilities Spark tutoring did absolutely this Oliver and the tutor built a great relationship together he even enjoyed the online sessions when he was reluctant to have online sessions this never bothered him at all Their approach to identifying gaps in learning teaching and reviewing was great I received constant feedback as a parent and Oliver had constant feedback and praise about his progress By the end of the 6 weeks Oliver felt so much more confident in himself and was more ready to learn in school because of this We have continued to stay with Spark after the initial 6 week programme because it is so beneficial for Oliver it is keeping him challenged and achieving his best

We cannot recommend Sparks highly enough Our son has had Fin as his tutor since August 2023 for his GCSE s and he has provided an amazing peer based support system This gave our son the confidence to study revise and research both outside of school and the tutoring sessions Fin provided a young and friendly exceptionally patient approach to the support study sessions and allowed for deeper questioning and testing that wasn t available through standard school lessons The touch points were a friendly reminder and prompt to continue studying and provided an opportunity for further questioning and support outside of the standard tutor sessions We honestly believe this was the magic ingredient in getting our son to focus on his studies as opposed to his Xbox or Football and to help fill gaps in his knowledge that he probably would have let slide Most importantly our son enjoyed the sessions and looked forward to them happening We would be reminded of them coming up as opposed to having to remind him which was also a great way to develop his independence and his own time management A huge thank you to Fin and the whole team at Sparks you ve been amazing from day one

I would totally recommend Spark Tutoring and have done lots of times They provide support to our son who is in year 10 and needed a bit of encouragement and further understanding in maths and science His confidence has grown massively - he s much more responsive to this tutoring than any previous sessions as he s helped on his own level by tutors closer to his age who have direct experience of what he s doing and he doesn t have to leave his room He said he often doesn t understand something in class then his tutor just explains it a different and simpler way which really helps The admin systems and professionalism of Spark are so easy to engage with and I personally love that I can raise any concerns that we have about learning and Spark reassure and Respond quickly We are happy and teenager is happy Thank you so much Spark Tutoring Xx

Incredible results from this young dynamic team

I genuinely cannot recommend the team at Sparks highly enough As mum I made the initial contact and paid of course but then left my son to it and he was in safe hands They listened carefully to him completed thorough initial assessments to identify areas of improvement and delivered tailor-made lessons to him every week The fact they are young men and women with excellent grades and recent knowledge of the curriculum and specific exams made all the difference He could relate to them and they him immediately and valued their expertise I was a bit late to the tutoring idea and only contacted Sparks in March of Year 13 so three months before the exams My son is academically-able but was a little disorganised to say the least and getting stressed about whether he would secure the BBC A Levels he needed in Politics Economics and Maths They completely sorted him out made sure his revision and practise was focused where HE needed it to be As a result he went into the exams feeling a zillion times more confident and knowing he d done as much work as he could in the time available His results came last week and he secured three As so is absolutely delighted I ll be using Sparks again if Son Number Two needs some additional guidance for his A Levels in 2026 Thank you Sparks

Spark Tutoring provide a really great service which is centered around the individual pupils needs The tutors are excellent and provide a really approachable way of tutoring your child giving regular thorough feedback My son started out needing some extra help with chemistry and physics During the first session his tutor identified his strengths and weaknesses and what they would need to focus on to achieve good GCSE grades This was then all fed back to me in a really thorough and detailed way My son really enjoyed his tutoring sessions and found that he felt much more confident going into his exams Each month his tutor would send me a detailed report of what they had covered and what they would focus on in the coming month This is really good to know as a parent Overall I was incredibly impressed with the professional service that Spark Tutoring offers and the friendly and approachable tutor who my son really got along well with I will certainly be using their services again for ALevels Thank you Spark Tutoring

Excellent tuition

We approached Spark as my daughter was lacking in confidence with science From the first call we immediately knew that Spark were the right tutors for Lucy Over the course of the passed few months her confidence has increased and this has been reflected in her grades She looks forward to her tutor sessions and finds them invaluable in consolidating her school learning Having a tutor who has relatively recent experience of sitting GCSE s also makes the tutors extremely relatable which is most definitely a unique offering by Spark We would not hesitate to recommend Spark to anyone looking to increase confidence and knowledge in their child
