My husband and I purchased a Stihl
My husband and I purchased a Stihl chainsaw late last year We previously had a husquarvana for 20 years We decided to try your product because of its reputation All i can say is that we are deeply disappointed We bought it at Williams Lumber in Hudson and it s been nothing but trouble This last time my husband was out cutting a tree and the chainsaw just locked up on him I saw it He brings it in to this guy at the store who was very unprofessional My husband calls him few days later and he s told that you won t cover it Because of human error Seriously He s beenclearing property for over 20 years He s a very competent man We took a chance on YOUR product Call me old fashioned but I strongly believe that good business means that you do right by the customer Instead you blindly take the word of the guy at the store When we purchased this we even bought extra oil mixture to extend the warranty another 6 months We both feel so let down and disappointed because this is our hard earned money to buy YOUR product and this is what we get in return I believe that good business often comes from treating your customers right Dont you want more business If you took care of this I m telling people about it and I m bragging about the level of service from your company Isn t that good PR Isn t this how business should go Unfortunately you have now lost a customer I can t refer anyone to williams lumber in Hudson let alone give your product a good rating in any way I will tell my story to as many social media outlets as possible so that someone else does not fall victim to the same situation Very very disappointing

I ve been ghosted by Stihl USA
I received a letter from Stihl on March 30 2023 explaining there was a recall on my iMow robotic mower and that I had to stop using it immediately until the recall work was completed On March 31st I called my Stihl dealer to arrange for the recall work I got an appointment for April 18 On April 14 I called the dealer to confirm the appointment but was told the parts hadn t come in yet I asked when they expected the parts and was told I have no idea I then called Stihl USA to ask when the parts would be available to my dealer and the customer service rep said Uh I don t know and that was it Not we expect them by xx date or we ll notify you as soon as they re available just Uh I don t know I ve emailed them twice since then to find out any updates and to ask if they ll extend my warranty since I don t have use of the mower No reply either time It s now 6 weeks later and I have no information whatsoever I still can t use my iMow and am spending extra hours every week with my push mower I ve been abandoned and ghosted I own a number of Stihl products and find them to be generally excellent But this is unacceptable customer service

Terrible company

Had Stihl products referred to me by a friend based solely on the name without experience I made the hug mistake of purchasing a Weed Whacker Chain Saw and Leaf Blower and have experienced problems immediately from the stores None of these are dependable and seldom start or keep running These are new items Take them back to the shop and get service charges of 60 for issues that should never have occurred New items never used Change spark plugs purchase the purest of fuel use fuel additives No start and will not continue to run two years of the same This manufacturer is very overrated and people purchase because the name sounds VERY STRONG and Dependable far from that I am taking these three to the curb for trash pickup the have been nothing but JUNK factually to use the vernacular Stihl is junk and will never purchase this product again or recommend to anyone

New saw won t start
I bought a Stihl Farm Boss saw three weeks ago Used it 3 times and now it will not start Returned it to the dealer who said the gas was bad I ran Stihl 2 cycle oil with ethanol free gas Dealer said they switched out the gas and it ran fine got it home still won t start After 30 pulls on the cord I gave up and pitched it in the bed of the truck I guess I made a 479 dollar mistake

I bought a MS311 chainsaw in May
I bought a MS311 chainsaw in May By July the piston had frozen and it was unusable The Stihl technician and retailer I bought it from all gave me different stories at different times and long story short they refused to honor their warranty I guess it s buyer beware with Stihl which I will be for the rest of my life

Not Happy with Stihl s Repair Facilities
Stihl products are mediocre at best and their customer service is even worse I purchase a BG 86 leaf blower from the Mandarin Ace Hardware in Jacksonville FL because they not only sold Stihl products but they also serviced them I took my BG 86 leaf blower in for repair because it wouldn t start very well and it didn t have any power until it ran for a few minutes The Stihl repairman at Ace in my opinion had an attitude and said that the repair would take two weeks or less but they would first call with an estimate It has been nine days and I still haven t received an estimate I attempted to contact Stihl directly but that s a process in itself I have several Stihl products but tend to favor Echo and Husqvarna products and may be making the switch because of Stihl s poor customer service and slow repair facilities
