Find a reputable brand that cares instead
Having bought two Strathberry bags within 3 months for my wife I decided that I d buy her a pure cashmere scarf with the added embroidered initials for Mother s Day 18 days later and almost 2 weeks since Mother s Day the customer service team decided they would refund me the 20 for the embroidery as a gesture of good will Despite them knowing that the purchase was intended for Mother s Day bought from an advert which said all shipments would arrive in tine for Mother s Day the fact that I was empty handed on the day and the fact that I d already spent hundreds of pounds on the brand 20 made sense to them I told Strathberry that I would have expected at least a refund of the profit margin so that they wouldn t be out of pocket or anything up to a 50 refund As they hadn t really done much other than to provide some Ai algorithmic responses I asked for a full refund Did they come back with a counter offer Of course not I got a full refund for a waste of my time my brand loyalty and my wife s disappointment on Mother s Day If I hadn t chased my order two days ago I d have heard nothing from them One would assume that a 3-day delivery would trigger a customer email notifying of any delay with a simple apology by Day 5 but no such luck Zero effort to retain me as a customer Moreover they ve now got a scarf with my wife s initials embroidered on it with no sale and a lost customer Things do go wrong but when they do be quick off the mark humble yourself by putting yourself in the customer s shoes for a minute apologise and receive a 4-5 Star review for showing the customer that they re valued This could have been a 5 Star Review That s not luxury brand behaviour That s run of the mill mass market quick fashion selling Don t waste your time with Strathberry They ve nailed the buy-in story on their About section but everything else is down to pure luck Find a reputable brand that cares instead

Be careful Very expensive returns service
I bought a bag in their sale When the bag arrived I could see that the finish of the leather was not how I expected I began their return process It is very old fashioned and certainly not customer focused nor is it inline with what an online retailer should be doing It has cost me 10 65 Firstly you have to email Strathberry to request the return This in itself although easy enough is quite bizarre now days I was emailed back promptly with instructions to return the bag using a tracked and signed service - and in order to do this I have had to use a service which covers the value of the bag incase it goes missing - it has cost me 10 65 Although not the point it should be noted that I am returning the product because it looks slightly different in person than it did in the picture - even if this was not so I still think the company should be helping to make returns cheaper if not free Strathberry are unusual not offering free returns for online customers If they do not wish to do this why are they not at least providing a cheaper returns service which I am sure they could arrange as a business The retailers that they seem to align themselves with all in my experience offer free returns - several of which offer a free collection service too Not impressed at all

bad customer service
I don t use my Strathberry Bag daily but after a few years and uses the handle of the bag broke I believe it happened because of the design where you have to fold it to pass it under the metal to close the bag Additionally I have noticed that the letters of the logo are gradually fading away I purchased my bag from one of Strathberry s distributors since it was sold out on their website at that time However when I contacted their customer service regarding the broken handle and fading logo they informed me that I would be charged for the repair As a loyal customer and considering Strathberry s status as a luxury brand I firmly believe that regardless of the sales channel they should provide consistent and high-quality services to their customers For instance renowned luxury brands like Louis Vuitton offer complimentary repairs for their authentic products without inquiring about the place of purchase This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth as I expected better service and attention to detail from a brand of Strathberry s caliber
