Streetlib Diabled My Publishing Account
Streetlib has gone bad Since February 2 2024 I have been unable to login to my Streetlib account I keep seeing User is disabled on the login page When I contacted Jenni Streetlib Cusotmer support she replied as follows Good morning I regret to inform you that your account has been disabled due to fraudulent purchases A store reported a large series of purchases as fraudulent which caused a temporary block in distribution with a consequent loss of turnover All too impactful for our internal policies For this reason we have disabled your account We reserve the right to investigate further and get back to you if there are any further developments Sure of your understanding we wish you a great weekend I do not know anything about the fraudulent purchases she mentioned because I and my fellow authors who have books on your platform do not purchase our own books Therefore my company has no connection with the fraud So I urge Streetlib to reopen my account I hope to hear from you soon again as your investigation progresses

I disagreed with their dodgy contract
I disagreed with their dodgy contract and asked my books to be removed from distribution and my account closed They closed my account but kept my books listed on distribution so if the books sell they pocket the money streetLib is a very dodgy and fraudulent company They are forcing a legal issue to come out of this They closed the account before removing the books which was an issue So if books of anyone sold meanwhile the publisher could not track any sales That was a concern to me Streetlib always has a runaround answer for everything Streetlib also should not be getting people to sign dodgy contracts which stipulate withholding of royalties for any crap reason they give in the fine print of their contract s I believe there are people in that company as other like publishing companies to whom l have personally experienced in the past who are stealing royalties and trying to legalise that theft with their petty contract of trickery they get people to sign This is a rubbish company and not worth investing time with I suggest people be careful especially with EPUB publishing companies because a lot of them may not be paying correct royalties You can always check this by having someone purchase your book on any retailer you choose then see if the sale shows up on your account Take this as free advice

Still billing me for account that was closed in May
After much back and forth in May with repeated statements to close account after being billed for Write product and it was supposed to be included in the Proplan I was unhappy I asked for clarification which I did not receive and had to argue for refund which I did not receive End of May I receive confirmation they closed my account But that is not the end I have just discovered that they are still billing my card for a Proplan and the account is closed Now I am going to have to go to fraud department of my bank and report unauthorized billing activity and my account with streetlib has been closed for 2 months In response the technical anaomoly should never have happened Period The 20-25 emails back and forth explaining how I was wronged by streetlib should not have happened either the 24 hour resolution that you claim is more like 5 days from my my email contact and this complaint was submitted to trustpilot before Streetlib response The unathorised billing since June 4 is not a 24 hour resolution StreetLib did refund but requested another 10 days to return the funds we shall see if it is in my account by the end of the 10 days It is a very slow process from the customer view and should not be

They took my money sell my books illegally
Truth be told streetlib is a disguised fraudster Before I started publishing with them I read a complaint about them how they will close your account and still be selling your books But I never took it serious and now they have done it to me My account was closed in a very fraudulent manner cloaked with a lie that a store said fraudulent purchases occurred I told them to investigate it and for eight months now nothing has been heard According to their T C when there s is problem the author streetlib and the other party will work together to resolve it I showed this to them one incompetent CS person sent me a section of the T C she misquoted I later got to discover it s their fraudulent tactics They are selling my books illegally without reporting They have been receiving my royalties without telling me how much I told them to close my account delist my ebooks and return proceeds from my books and send me proofs that this has been done I have started forwarding the matter to relevant agencies in the US and I m sure they will be contacted at any time This company has a sinister agenda and it s a complete FRAUD I ve asked authorities to get them to produce proof of their claims and account for the illegal sales of my books and my stolen funds Yes that s exactly what they do they take your assets and funds I challenge them to reply my review with proof that support their claims It s quite shocking because I personally don t buy ebooks I only read paper covers and the books I publish with them are ebooks So I m interested in seeing where I did the purchase And this is eight months they haven t produced any proof and yet they are selling my books and keeping the money and that makes them thief I regret using this company for publishing it s my worst business decision

False Expectations Are Their Bread Butter
I was so excited to use this service and had multiple calls with the owner She made it sound so easy to use However every person here only sets false expectations and working with them absolutely ruined my ebook launch If you would like to take any joy in releasing a book I wouldn t recommend this service They take forever to answer questions the support team claims to care but never accomplishes anything my point person Andrea is hands off and seems to believe in waiting endlessly for things to work themselves out and it takes weeks for book links to go live despite the 72 hours I was quoted on The only things Streetlib really seems to be excellent at is making empty promises and stressing people out I am very hurt and upset that things turned out this way since I went into the process so thrilled that I thought I d found a good partner and it wasn t the case I ll never get back all the wasted time writing emails for help waiting for someone to come through and the time I could ve been promoting my new book that was instead used biding time hoping Streetlib would deliver on their services and expectations

Not user friendly with all kinds of glitches
I cannot login Everything I try leads to a dead-end with an instruction telling me to do something I have already done must accept privacy policy or must include email address When I seek to obtain a new password the box that indicates a code with be sent to you only gives me User password cannot be reset in the current state when I click it And I cannot find a way to communicate with a person Very frustrating

StreetLib refused to pay for their own mistake
I originally planned to go with another self-publishing option but while waiting for them to resolve some payment processing problems l found this firm StreetLib s online terms stated that they would publish my book professionally in both digital and print formats with their Digital Print Bundle format my book as a PDF file for print-on-demand or digital printing and with one year of global distribution included make my book available everywhere readers are With this promise l was convinced to switch to them which meant giving up the 50 discount then being offered by the previous firm However shortly after signing up l received an email which informed me that StreetLib s print-on-demand service is currently only available in Italy By that time the discount from the first firm had expired and the best that StreetLib could offer was to distribute my printed books through Amazon alone despite there being no mention of these facts in their online terms at that time That glaring omission had led me to switch to them at a loss of 125 which was the extra money it would now cost me to return to the original firm Now here s the irony as a direct result of my complaint StreetLib changed the wording on their website to be more transparent Yet when l told them that their incomplete online information had cost me 125 they weren t interested Although l repeatedly asked to be compensated for this loss they dug in their heels claiming right up to 18th March that they owed me nothing Of course thanks to the recent amendments to their webpage the same thing is unlikely to happen to you But l do hope you ll take note of how this firm treats customers who have a genuine complaint because at the end of the day StreetLib s mistake has cost me money l can t afford and as for them Well clearly they couldn t care less
