I have now purchased 2 knives from them A VG10 with damask cladding petty a gift for a colleague and a 27 cm sujibiki slicer in white paper 2 core steel with a beautiful kasumi finished cladding Both are fantastic and perform well above their price IMHO Steffen Back the man behind Suba knives has trained as knife maker under Master Fujii in Sakai so he knows a thing or two about Japanese knives If you are considering buying a Japanese knife I strongly recommend writing to Suba Knives Both for their products and for Steffen s general knowledge and advice
