Absolutely unprofessional doesn t cover health at all is just money collector Rather choose any cheap insurance and just pay what s mandatory only Update Our issue were finally solved after months of discussion back and forth Sympany finally agreed we don t owe them anything Conclusion The health insurance system in Switzerland is not made for health purpose nor to cover the health related bills of the insured people which makes it an extremely lucrative business and answers to why it have so many insurance companies Despite being insured we still pay hospital treatments medecin and doctors per minute including the minutes we re in waiting rooms yet we aren t cured it doesn t make us healthier and of course insurers will always have good reasons not to cover not to insure Consequently the youngest as well as people with lower income don t even consult doctors anymore because they just can t afford paying consultations bills and treatments on top of insurance premiums which purpose normally is to be insured and thus covered NOT TO HAVE TO PAY BILLS Did you know that in the end it s the cantons most often that will be paying the bills insured people can t pay anymore with our taxes money while Insurance companies invest our premiums in REAL ESTATE

We are waiting for a few months for an insurance card Calls emails nothing helps Please avoid this company it s the worst experience ever and a total loss of time Update I signed the offer 2 5 months back and the card was ordered only on 4 07 2023 this is a few days back according to the message I got from the support I am not sure why Sympany is blaming a card issuer company for the delays at this point Regarding the card details mySympany app as well as the web site shows Sobald Ihre Versichertenkarte erstellt wurde k nnen Sie diese hier einsehen this means I don t have access to card details even virtually Regarding traveling All documents shall be available for customers via self-service not via calls to support But all this does not make much sense now we are moving away from Sympany to another insurance provider by the end of the year and hopefully for good

Incompetent
I have experienced some of the worst customer service I have received in my life from Sympany I moved to Switzerland and for 3 full months they lost my application telling me every week I would have it at the end of the week Eventually they stopped replying to emails The situation became serious as I had to submit my insurance to the Cantonal office as someone new to Switzerland They finally got the documents to me 1 day before the cantonal extension ended - 3 and a half months after the applications was made I emailed them and called daily and no one could tell me why my application took so long and in their own words I m sorry we have no idea what happened here

I signed my contract on the 15th of
I signed my contract on the 15th of November 2023 then I called personally and i knew that some documents were missing then i sent them one day later normally i have to ask for aid from the canton from the 1st of December 2023 and now I am still waiting i need mz contract official that s all to ask but i lost 2 months It means 750 CHF Who will pay this gap if the insurance company cheaps insurance of Switzerland as like said worker sympany i am a student

Terrible customer service from one lady advisor MD She could not be more incompetent and rude wasting my time and not doing her job properly There are many other insurance companies and this one will not have me as a customer for sure

Horrible service incapable scammers
Horrible service Took them almost 3 months and repeated calling and managing from me to understand that they had sent all confidential mail passwords etc to an old address that hadn t been used for more than 12 years despite me repeatedly including when signing up giving them the right one Lo and behold we finally managed to fix it all and they retrospectively try to ask for 4 months of insurance payments even though we did not have access to any of their services When calling them some random young bloke then tries to scare me into accepting this quoting the mandatory health insurance law ignoring the fact that this has a 3 month timeframe as well as that not changing the fact that we did the right thing and signed up in time whereas they dropped the ball What a bunch of incapable scammers
