Do not purchase from The Bed Shop Group Very good at taking your money very bad on delivering and very poor customer service I normally don t write bad reviews This is probably been one of the worst buying experiences i ve had I should have done more research myself beforehand Also I should have gone with my gut feeling after talking with the sales guy for 15 minutes After looking at other website reviews I have found the reviews to be 50 50 Knowing this beforehand I would have stayed well clear The whole experience has been worse than dealing with a 3rd hand car sales person at least you get your car on time No offense to used car sales people On 8 11 2019 I spent 700 on a frame mattress At the time I thought it was an OK deal I was informed at the time I would take delivery by 11 15 19 Mid afternoon I called the store to find why I had not taken delivery Was informed that the mattress had not come in and wasn t able to deliver until the middle of the following week Would have been nice to receive a call beforehand so I didn t have to wait all day for them Sales guy gave me the phone number of the delivery department of the company to get a better delivery date I found this to be unacceptable the store I purchased from should be the ones tracking down my delivery Received a call from the delivery department on 19 11 19 that they would deliver on 20 11 19 between 10 00am 17 00 that I would receive a call one hour beforehand I missed 2 calls as I was driving making a quick trip at the time They didn t leave any voicemails so I did not return any of the calls I called the sales guys later on to find out why I had not taken delivery He said that the tried to call texted me I did not receive any texts from them and I asked why they didn t leave a voicemail he couldn t answer and avoided answering the question He told me to call the delivery department to find out when I would Again unacceptable I should not be the one chasing down my order I called the delivery department they said that they could not deliver until 26 11 19 it would be between 10 00am 17 00I mentioned that I needed a better time frame than this as I could not wait around for a third day Lady I spoke to said they couldn t at the time for me to call on the day of the delivery I called on 26 11 19 for a more accurate delivery time they still could not give one How can you not give a two hour time frame on the day of delivery When most other companies can Very poor management Received call on 26 11 19 at 11 53am stating they would delivery in about one hour Wow they delivered at 12 55pm shame they delivered the incorrect base I m so over this company Do not purchase from The Bed Shop Group do your research They are very good at taking your money passing the buck not taking responsibility Maybe they should look up the phase under promise over deliver Please pass this info on to anyone thinking of buying from The Bed Store Group Do them a favor don t let them

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Really really bad company
I ordered on 31 7 09 a kingsize bed which was supposed to be in stock as it was under clearance and 2 bedside tables They emailed to say the bed would be delivered on the 7th August It did arrive but they had sent 2 top parts the reason I knew this was because the bottom part should have had a draw - no drawer present We told the driver immediately but all he said was phone the company My husband spent the next 3 days trying to actually speak to anyone from that company Eventually he got through and was told the bed had been put on order and will be with us in due course no indication of when Meanwhile we have no bed to sleep on as we got rid of our old bed Several days later we were told that the bed will be with us on 18th August It didnt arrive When we rang to find out why we were told that it was delivered but no-one was in which is an outright lie -we were in all day practically sitting by the window waiting as it was that important to us They then emailed a new delivery date of the 19th - guess what - it didnt turn up Reason The van broke down - yeah right This company lies through there teeth The next delivery day was for today - 20th - low and behold a van pulled up and it was them Hurray we thought but all we got was the bed side tables still nothing to sleep on Today we thought enough is enough and contacted Trading Standars and they told us that we have to email them and ask when they will be delivering the bed to give them one last chance and if it isnt forth coming only then can we ask to get our money back - I m just thinking all this just to get our money back I really want the bed and some sort of compensation for all the hassle and money lost through days of work and no decent nights sleep It is not right that a company like this can get away with what they do when all they have to do at the end of it if someone takes the trouble to go to CAB or trading standards is there money back - your just back where you started then with no bed There has to be a way to stop people like this They are actually making me ill with all this in fact just sitting here typing thisiis making my blood boil All I can do is try to spread the word and try to warn others to avoid this co like the plague I also found that they had traded on ebay but are no longer registered due to tons on negative feedback I wish I d done my homework before hand or I would never have ordered from them Allin all this bed has turned out to be massively expensive in more ways than one

Took payment when knew unable to honour contract then had to wait 30 days for a refund
I needed a bed quickly as I had a guest coming to stay I found one I liked in the Bed Shop Laana-Joseph International and the website said it was in stock and could be delivered the next day for which I paid a 30 fee On the strength of this information I went ahead and placed the order At 11 13 I received an email stating payment had been received from my credit card At 11 17 I received an email stating my bed would be delivered in 15 working days I tried for 2 days to telephone the after sales line and it was just ringing out I therefore telephoned the sales line and surprise surprise it was answered immediately The lady who answered initially insisted I would have to call the after sales line but relented after I pointed out no-one had answered it for 2 days She then explained my order was out of stock I said I wanted a refund She asked me whether I would like to choose another item Er no She agreed to refund me I asked her how long a refund would take as I needed to buy a bed urgently as my guest was arrivng and they now had my money She said she would process it asap I then received an email stating my refund would take 30 days and not to bother contacting them as this was all permitted under the Distance Selling Regulations Having read the Regulations I beg to differ but who s got time to challenge the company So I am complaining to Trading Standards as the bed was and is still down as in stock on their website and I am putting negative feedback whereever I can although I cannot see how to add a testimonial on their website My advice steer clear of this compnay

I bought a bed from the Steve Biko branch 2 weeks ago it was delivered last week on the 1st of November 2023 As am writing this review today 08th November 2023 the bed has sagged in the middle it didn t even last a month What a waste of money Please save yourself the waste and don t buy from them

Disappointing online shopping experience with The Bed shop
On the 10th of Jan I bought a double bed online that was R5159 only to get only double mattress delivered Upon enquiring I was told I ordered matrass only The same matrass that I saw online for only R4809 No sure if I was scammed or the system is faulty The entire shopping experience was just poor The only receipt I got was the proof of payment sent to me by pay fast other than that the shop sent me nothing no email no paper receipts even on the day of delivery no copy was left for me

The bed shop parkgate Bought a bed in the past and everything was fine Today I can t say the same Bought a single mattress today the salesman guy Rob told us the measurements for the bed was standard I said the bed measure 2m but he told us that would be fine I even asked if I could buy it online because I wasn t sure about thecl sizes and I also mentioned about the return but because he just wanted to sell he didn t say anything I got home and surprised surprised the matress doesn t fit Called the shop and his suggestion was to add a pillow cause they don t accept the return It s ridiculous because he could have said something when we were in the shop and I wouldn t buy I would give it a 0 star
