I booked a villa through thehotel gr but after three months I had to cancel the reservation due to family problems Thehotel gr canceled the reservation but because my card expired in the meantime my old account was closed by my bank and a new one was opened As a result the money did not reach me I spoke to my bank and was told that thehotel gr tried three times to refund my money but the transaction was rejected due to the closed account I wrote to thehotel gr and told them the above asking them why no one contacted me when it was clear that the transaction was rejected and asked them to return the money to my new account The first reply was I will check with my bank and will reply to you within next WEEKS When I asked why they needed weeks to solve the problem all the more because they KNEW that their transactions had been rejected the answer left me speechless Because I am too busy and cannot easily reach the phone desk of our payment partner This is how professionally this company treats its customers Once you have canceled a reservation you no longer exist for them And you effectively can t do anything UPDATE Since September the owner of thehotel gr has been calling me sending me emails and whatsapp messages pressing me to delete the review from trustpilot or to edit it and to say something like everything was fine I got my money back it was just a minor problem Yes I got MY MONEY back but only after writing this review and after 14 days and 23 emails exchanged Even though the owner knew for 14 days that my money never went from him to me In the last email he sent me today he threatened that We will take all legal steps against you and TrustPilot After which I received two more emails from his brother and co-owner of the agency Dear please stop all this shity behaviour Emmanuel don t waste more of your time with this lady Your thank you for refunding you in our super high season is this shity review We are going to take all legal steps to take care of our fame GO AWAY Never ever come back GO AWAY I leave it to the eventual readers of this review to judge for themselves especially after reading the owner s response below They claimed that I defamed them and now they are stating in writing and publicly that I am taking money from their competitors to destroy their reputation Not only is this an aberration and a maximum offense but it proves once again what kind of people they are In the meantime they obviously deleted that comment and are now posing as the good guys This is my last addition to this review They have made my life a living hell I can put at trustpilot s disposal all the emails and whatsapp messages that I have received and that I have written to him during this stressful period SECOND UPDATE The countless comments that you have completely changed are just one long string of lies in which you entangled because you are and have been incapable to admit the truth namely that you have known since June 28 that my deposit wasn t returned to me because of changes made by my bank over which I had no control But you really didn t care about me and my problem You only cared about your business It would have been so simple to get in touch with me right then and tell me that you couldn t finalize the transfer but that you would fix the problem only you need a little bit of time because you are very busy You lied again in September when you told me that you had only just found out about the review even though trustpilot had informed you about it as early as July 2 You called me a liar insulted me threatened me and the cherry on the cake accused me of receiving money to compromise you Yes you deleted that comment but it s not a problem because I have the print screen of it Yes I did edit but except for one which you specifically wanted not in my July 2 review but in my first update Because English is not my mother tongue I have corrected a number of spelling and expression mistakes All you should have done in such a ugly story was to show me respect as a human being first and as a customer second And to respect yourselves too
