Ghana has such a community feel with such lovely people within it The team is always happy to help and encourage you to talk to them if needed The programmes offer such a range of experience from the hospital to childcare and there s a chance to see all Take all you can as an opportunity and a chance to learn more Be open and make a difference where you can Thank you so much to Dinah Francis Abigail and Laura for making it so enjoyable and supported would recommend booking weekend trips to make the most of the time and keep you busy as well as visiting church and local groups activities if it s for you

Unforgettable memories

We had such a wonderful time volunteering at the turtle sanctuary and we were so well looked after by everyone We were welcomed in to the family home and treated to delicious food and lovely smiles Thank you so much Ayomi Thaksi Karu and the rest of the Mighty Roar team for giving us such a special 2 weeks

I had a really good time doing turtle volunteering in Sri Lanka I did a weekend trip which was 100 worth it I was surprised by how many extra activities there were e g a bonfire karaoke meditation with a buddhist monk and surfing Very nice staff I would recommend doing turtle volunteering in the peak hatching season however I went in august and I still got to see some

Fantastic four weeks in Bali

I had a fantastic four weeks volunteering in Bali and I couldn t fault The Mighty Roar The company went above and beyond to look after the volunteers and make the experience as safe comfortable and enjoyable as possible The local team were lovely and always so helpful Would totally recommend

The Amakhala programme

The Amakhala programme was amazing The volunteer coordinator Nicky and Justin made my two weeks really fun They organised excursion days such as canoeing as well as taking us on the reserve most days which allowed us to see all the amazing animals Amakhala has I would definitely recommend this programme to anyone all ages It was so easy to make friends and every one was so friendly

Amazing experience in Sri Lanka with my teenager

What a fantastic experience for my 14 year old daughter and I We were on the street dog and sea turtles programme in Sri Lanka We learned loads and experienced what life in Sri Lanka is like We had loads of opportunities for travel and experiences and went on safari visited some of the sights and beaches surfed cooked and paddled and visited an elephant project The staff team were welcoming and helpful and we had a blast with all the other volunteers who did not seem to be put off that I was much older than most of them We had a really memorable experience Loved feeding the street dogs and felt amazingly privileged to have released some baby turtles and seen a turtle laying her eggs Feel really thankful to have had the opportunity to experience this with my teenager Thank you TMR

Costa Rica Turtle Conservation

I had the most incredible time in Costa Rica Nicola and the team were beyond helpful the research assistants on camp were lovely Special shoutout to Issy Blanche Jack Christi Juan Victor for being so great to all of the volunteers you made everyone feel so welcome This project is situated on a remote island and you struggle to get phone signal however embrace this I felt so fulfilled and genuinely enjoyed not having access to social media I saw monkeys sloths stingrays and so much more in the wild and how rare is that An experience I ll never forget with new friends from all over the world
