Warning Don t use thermos food flask for hot water
I recently bought another thermos food flask from Ocado because there was no flask available in the size I wanted I have one that is used for food and soup but this one i needed for hot water to make my tea in the evening Nowhere did it state to take extra precautions when using the food flask for hot liquids such as water and everything seemed to fine I have been bedbound for 10 weeks and have carers looking after me while I am recovering My main carer handed me the flask which she had tightly secured to avoid any spillages I slowly began unscrewing the stopper when it suddenly propelled out of the flak and hot water spilled over my hands We were both shocked and I wrote to Thermos who offered me a replacement I declined insisting that there should be mentioning on the label on how to use it for hot liquids like water Eventually my complaint was escalated and the technical department gave me some explanations as to why this might have happened Since then they informed me they have changed the design of the stopper and were happy for me to try out No thanks once hot water gushing over my hands was enough I returned the flask and requested a refund which they honoured Again I insisted that labelling should be amended to avoid worse to happen They do not feel that this is necessary I do No compensation was offered which surprised me somewhat In america someone would be suing Thermos for damages and vast sums of money We are not talking tepid water It was mighty hot though thankfully I wasn t left with blisters But customer services did not appear to take this seriously and it was my impression that nobody else did either primarily emphasising the quality of the products and the car taken with their designs They saw no reason however why it couldn t or shouldn t be used for hot water They did offer to send me a 500 ml flask which I declined because i had already ordered one from mountain Warehouse which I find very good

Thermos should be more environmentally aware
I got a Thermos STAINLESS KING TUMBLER 470ML as a birthday present in October and I think they are a great travel mug Unfortunately mine fell out of my bag a couple or weeks ago and one small plastic retainer A component inside the lid has broken This means the flask cannot be used All the pieces in the lid are designed to unlock and be taken apart for cleaning When I got in touch with Thermos they told me that they do not supply these parts separately I have to either buy a new flask or a replacement lid The link they gave for the replacement lids isn t much use as they are out of stock I am very disappointed by this response from Thermos Buying a new flask seems to be my only option which seems to be very wasteful when it is just one small part that needs replacing I have been recommending these flask tumblers to my friends but this experience has made me think again My suggestion to Thermos would be to supply all the replacement parts for their flasks so that their customers can get the most use from them without generating more waste for our planet

Over Priced Rubbish
I give in 50 year warranty Three King flasks and not one lasted more than fifty days in use First flask failed in a matter of weeks Second flask warranty replacement also failed after very little use I asked customer service to please not send another King flask as I had no faith in it but they did anyway Guess what The third one has also failed All three flasks were otherwise immaculate and in no way compared to my original Thermos flask that I bought in the early 90 s That survived 20 years of hard knocks out on boats before eventually failing Thinks just ain t what they used to be I have had 5 flasks from Lidl last longer than this overpriced rubbish

Not bothered about their customers
Not bothered about their customers I bought a king thermos and it didn t even have the inner lid asked for replacement but was ignored for a week and wrote to them twice I will send it back for a refund but would expect better Very disappointing as have been using their products in my family for 4 generations

Problems problems Poor customer service
I purchased a thermos cup the type with no handle costing 8 00 in November 2021 from a well known supermarket To get to the inside of the flask to fill or clean it you have to unscrew a very shallow in depth lid This results from time to time in the body and the flask separating No problem you would think it should go back to together except it does not as the two parts are held together by a little screw and it is difficult to align the two As a result the bottom of the flask bulges that part is plastic and can fall over It is unsafe Without a receipt Thermos are not interested and will not repair inspect or replace Shame on them The flask looks and is to all intents and purposesbrand new

We have tried 4 times to get hold of someone to open a corporate account left 2 messages with the receptionist to get the sales manager to phone back despite promises no one bothered to call Phoned again this morning no one able to take the call Unprofessional and total lack of accountability sending a complaint to the USA head office about the atrocious service maybe they can investigate

I wish I chose free service for delivery feel out of pocket now
Bought myself a thermos flask and food flask and you know what paid extra 6 50 for next-day delivery and it didn t show up so I would suggest you save your cash and go for the free cheap delivery if you use this website to buy a flask for your hot drinks and cold drinks and your food

Thermos ThermoCaf Translucent Travel MugI paid extra for this mug because I trusted the brand I shouldn t have bothered third use and the space between the inner and outer mug are filled with water that I can t remove I d have saved myself money by not trying to be environmentally friendly and taking my own mug to a coffee shop Looking forward to getting my new mug from SHO I will update if I get a response from Thermos online message form I received a response from Thermos telling me my product was out of warranty but they did offer me a 15 discount code to use in the future I declined I received my SHO mug which appears to be much sturdier and carries a lifetime guarantee 4 years for my product SHO are my new favourites

I m still going through the experience
I m still going through the experience but to date its been very poor I purchased from Sainsbury s last year a good quality Thermus product approx 27 which has failed and the clip down lid wont stay shut They ve give me the option of sending the receipt which was a full food shop and was disposed of ages ago or buy a new one I ve now sent them a video show the failure so let see what happens Very unfriendly
