Liars and scammers
Disgraceful paper with a lack of integrity Tried to buy vouchers online that would be posted to me The vouchers never arrived but my money was taken and had to fight to get it back My partner signed up to times online as a trial and they informed him that he had one month to go before his trial finished and then proceeded to charge him full amount of money early and without authorization Scammers sharks liars Beware stay well away from this company

DON T EVER TAKE A SUBSCRIPTION THEY WILL NEVER CANCEL YOUR SUBCRIPTION AND LET YOU PAY FOR WHILE IGNORING YOUR CANCELLATION REQUEST
I m seriously so fed up with the Times UK I took a subscription and already trying to cancel it for 2 months I explained to them that I can t call to cancel my subscription as I live overseas and with the waiting times it costs me a lot of money I m already trying to cancel my subscription for 2 months but I just keep on getting automatic emails back They just don t even read my emails and if they do they only explain to me why you have to call so they can maybe offer you a different package that meets your preference In the meantime they just keep on subtracting money from your credit card while I clearly asked them multiple times that I don t want to subscribe any more This is just the worst customer care experience I ve ever had To all of you who want to read an article of the Times UK DON T EVER TAKE A SUBSCRIPTION THEY WILL NEVER CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION AND LET YOU PAY FOR IT WHILE IGNORING YOUR CANCELLATION REQUEST

Special offer leads to Debt
I took the 1 per month special offer in July To expire in September without notice the subscription increased to 15 in October As I wasn t getting 15 worth of access tried to cancel after first higher payment I tried online and by email to cancel for weeks and failed The Times is now chasing me for payment of a service I have not used after Nov 14th They can see usage has stopped but insist that I havev14 days to cancel from July a nonsense for a rolling monthly contract They even offered me a new deal 3 75 for 3 months if I paid the 15 for non use As usual their contract covers every eventuality Apart from a sympathetic request from a non IT savvy 80 year old pensioner

My issue was ignored by customer services
On 16 12 2024 I phoned customer services to complain that I had not received my digital edition for two months but had been charged 25 99 twice in October and November I cancelled it before going into hospital in October but it was clearly not actioned I had not noticed this until I was recovered enough to check my card statements Call handler had poor English and transferred me to the cancellation dept After a long conversation with 1 customer services and 2 cancellation team explaining this I asked for confirmation of immediate cancellation I then received an email telling me I would still receive the service until 12th January and discovered that the very same day I had been charged another 25 99 I have not received the digital newspaper for the past three months just an email called Briefing As a test I tried to log into my account yesterday to check if it was live and I could not access it How this has arisen I do not know but I am not willing to pay 3 months subscription for headlines and I wish to escalate this complaint in writing but I have not been able to find contact details for a complaints department

TheTimes just took an unauthorised
TheTimes just took an unauthorised payment of 25 99 from my bank account and have refused to reimburse me I had cancelled a previous subscription verbally but they had not Whilst I had an ongoing subscription running for another 2 months it charged me a further 25 99 And will not return it This is clearly malpractice

Hugo Rifkind calling for Shamima Begum s return to the U K
We don t want her And she wasn t a trafficked child She will require a fantastically expensive security detail probably for the rest of her life Many of us entertain serious doubts that she is in any way repentant She will be a potential rallying point for Islamist extremists whether she wants to be or not When she sells Her Truth to the newspapers the U K will look ridiculous She will make a fortune and it won t go on her security upkeep or housing Nothing will prevent her saying whatever she likes to the press interviewers or the general public There can be no meaningful guarantee of her good behaviour Once here she will engage human rights lawyers to sue the country for removal of her citizenship And she ll win and it will cost the taxpayer further millions upon millions of pounds May I suggest Hugo falls silent on this topic He hasn t thought it through and the potential for an epic debacle demonstrating our cultural weak-mindedness to all the world seems all but inevitable It would be a disaster with no upside Not even a moral one Simply a further - unnecessary - demonstration of how decadent and silly we have allowed ourselves to become as a nation And who cares what the Americans want They can have their Jihadis back if they really want them Here in the U K We don t
