Just keeps getting worse
Held on to Eudora 7 3 forever eventually but the bullet and migrated to TB Thunderbird was never as good but it was functional enough and good enough Then came Supernova -- the straw that broke the camel s back Needless changes that just made everything worse I was able to downgrade and lock out updates

Thunderbird is not the easy and intuitive mail client it used to be
Like many I suddenly have a new version of Thunderbird Supernova 115 that looks a bit like the previous version but is in fact a new and alien version Before Supernova it was an easy to use intuitive mail program But this is not more Even worse it was updated without any warning that is changed SO much And no easy way to revert back because they made that impossible Sadly Mozilla forgot their very loyal and longtime userbase who loved Thunderbird for its ease of use Sadly that is gone now

The Worst
nothing but problems since my computer guy installed it there is always a glitch and many times I would have to call him to correct the problem The last straw was when a pop up asked for my password Didn t work My computer guy couldn t get it to work He said he would have to reset it - I guess remove it and add it again - at a cost of 160 I will keep the emails I have but cannot send and receive I am now using Spectrum and Gmail

Used to be great now they keep removing
Used to be great now they keep removing the very features that once made it great just for the sake of change The horizontal search menu bar has vanished I can t open a separate ASddress book The Address button has dissappeared managed to install it as a separate menu item at the top but with a dark greay background almost impossible to see Mozilla Thunderbird has officialy has turned to crap

Going Downhill
I ve used Thunderbird for years but am getting perilously close to looking elsewhere It s becoming increasingly buggy and unstable which isn t helped by the fact that they won t leave it alone genuine serious clear upgrades are one thing but ceaseless tinkering and change for the sake of change is really not helpful On top of that they re making increased requests for money which is a little ironic

One star is even way too much
One star is even way too much I had used Thunderbird for nearly 15 years I used to be a very satisfied customer But a few years ago Thunderbird started to get updates that more and more messed up my email folders The latest update a few months ago was the limit It created complete chaos and deleted all emails in several folders These were my most important emails and they were unretrievable Gone forever And besides that Thunderbird had started to bloat on my C-drive In the end almost 30 of that drive 30 out of 100 GB was occupied by Thunderbird And there was nothing I could do about it The only solution I could think of was getting rid of Thunderbird and moving to Outlook It was rather difficult to transfer my Thunderbird emails to Outlook but in the end I succeeded It saddens me that I had to move back to the big Microsoft But Thunderbird left me no choice How on earth could they ruin a once great program like that And seeing all the recent negative reviews on this site they obviously don t care
