a series of bad and unfortunate events
I wanted to share my unlucky and unfortunate series of events and experiences I had I don t believe and hope that it s not happened to other customers they had before 330 full windows tint done on 7 9 2024 rear Defroster works21 9 20242 weeks later I went back I asked to fix the imperfections sub-standard works as there re bubbles on the rear windscreen plus on the rear L and R passenger windows They removed retinted on the left rear and that was fine but for the rear right small triangle windows after they removed retint there re still bubbles so I asked them on the spot and they had to remove it again and retinted it again the third time for it to be right The problem all started in the rear windscreen They said they just needed to remove and retint it they went ahead and remove and retint it anyway but what I got is an even worse job than before When it rains it has moisture inside the car in the morning I notice the defroster didn t work I think that must be because when they removed the tint the process damaged it and this is where my nightmares begin 5 10 2024I went back to explain after they removed retint the rear windscreen my defroster stopped working and logic tells me it s their fault as they were the last person that touch it The owner said it s not them and that they had remove retint many cars before and they never had that problem and required me to get a report that states the fault was caused by them so they can make a claim insurance12 10 2024I went to my mechanics report cost 100 but no explanations why it s not working as they just can t explain it 19 10 2024The owner asked the auto electrician few stores down his store he tested it and confirmed it s not working he don t have any explanations and cited it as bad luck We went back to his store removed the tint he tested it again himself still not working all defroster lines looks fine visual doesn t give any broken lines The auto electrician gave him a contact for a glass guy Later that day night he called me and said to leave his car next Monday morning at 9am he and the glass guy will sort it out This is where another of my disappointments as that Monday was my birthday and I specifically took a day off work way ahead in advance and my birthday was ruined as now I require to leave the car there and don t know when on the day I can pick the car up they did lend me a courtesy car 21 10 2024Drop the car in the morning for them to look at the glass with the glass ppl he came back to me and said he got a quote 600 for replacement he said he ll replace and pays for it and asked me to book an appointment with the glass ppl 26 10 2024Went to Instant Windscreens East Tamaki It took approximately an hour after replaced I found it s brand new-aftermarket one though defroster works when you look at it from the outside it s fine but when you look thru via the rear mirror the imagines looks distorted which is very annoying and something I ve not experience before Is it because of the quality Why it cannot be like it was before later I asked my friend he explained because it s after-market and because the quality build is not good so it results in that 2 11 2024Earlier the week I called them to explained the situations bought car back for the two staff to check they agrees with what I described cited it as factory fault and they can replace it The following week I called to rebook to had it replaced 9 11 2024The staff arrived 10mins late replaced the rear windscreen again just how many times do you need to re-do things to get it right The imagines from the rear mirror are what it should be I noticed they replaced it genuine Honda windscreen this time but a second hand one instead as I notice there re scratched marks here and there As for the defroster there s one line in the middle not working big sigh Motto of the story for 2 months I ve been stuff around for something that should have not happened all because someone couldn t and didn t do a good job that s up to standards Now to me once the tint is applied you shouldn t remove it And it s all because the tint guys couldn t and didn t do a good enough job in the first tint in the first place and they removed the tint and retint that s when my nightmare and troubles began Perhaps it s my fault in choosing them in the first place which I regret so much now Full 2 months later after lots of trouble personal times and stress total money spent is 430 The result is I only had my left and right driver and passenger windows tinted with rear windscreen replaced twice and defroster line not fully work as described above second-hand with 4 defroster lines doesn t work Such bad luck series of unfortunate events that I don t want it to happen to others Bottom line owner fixed it but I m at a loss
