difficult to replace batteries and needs lots of tools
Replacing an oral b is quite an involved process so do not attempt it It needs all sorts of tools and is quite fiddly I am quite techy and like fixing things but thi was beyond me I would not advise attempting this I think ionic industries toothbrushbattery com should make it clearer just how difficult the repair is

Oral B 3766 toothbrush Battery replacement
I dismantled my Oral B 3766 toothbrush step by step using the toothbrushbattery com related video I used an 8mm dia rounded metal rod to remove the end cap as the charger base started to make cracking sounds it came off easily then It is a fiddly job but I went slowly carefully it came apart fine A solder sucker was a useful additional tool I ordered the new battery which came quickly again installed it step by step pausing the video at each step I did snap a charging coil wire but found it as I had tested the charging before I fully assembled the toothbrush again I soldered it back together Altogether very happy with the product technical information

My second Oral B toothbrush battery replacement success
Having previously successfully replaced the small battery in one of our Oral-B toothbrushes with the larger one this second one was a little easier to do practice makes perfect If you have a fine tipped soldering iron and a solder sucker the fiddliest part of the job is de-soldering the fine wires they tend to keep reattaching to the PCB contact Some old leaded solder may make it a little easier to work with in order to lift them off the PCB contact The video instructions on YouTube are fine and guide you through all that you need - though some higher resolution pictures would be great

Remarkable service
Remarkable service I have a Waterpik toothbrush with oscillating head and it was not responding to the buttons correctly and sometimes would not start With nothing to lose I dismantled it - quite easy Checked the batteries 1 2V wich I thought should have been 2 4V Friday e-mailed toothbrushbattery com They responded very quickly and confirmed battery fault Friday afternoon ordered new battery Saturday morning battery arrived 2nd class post cost only 99p Battery fitted and everything working perfectly A new unit would have cost 119

Perfect upgrade to an old Braun 3728
Had an older Braun 3728 toothbrush and it wouldn t run for even two minutes to brush so it was either trash it or get a new battery I found Ionic and I decided to purchase the upgraded FDK battery the small battery was in the toothbrush originally Took a bit of work to get it in there but with the tutorial that Ionic provides it was a slam dunk Ordering process was painless and it was shipped to Canada faster than what I d expected Hardest part of the swap was not trashing those fine copper wires at the base to the inductive charger Used desoldering wick to clean off the old solder and the reassembly was pretty straight forward The new battery runs for about 11 days before the red light comes on to indicate it s time to charge I d do it again in a heartbeat I rather enjoy stuff like this and to throw the toothbrush away would have been such a waste
