I am 80 and my husband and I have been trading on T M since its inception My husband now has a Traumatic Brain Injury and family has moved in to help me care for him We are trying to downsize Suddenly T M closed all our accounts and despite over 50 emails We are no nearer to reinstating them I was eventually rung by Bailey a rude bullying female who talked over me and would not let me state my case and then hung up I have complained to the Commerce Commission and various other platforms but T M seems to be above any law and continues to trade despite hundreds of appalling feedbacks How on earth can we bring this site to heel

Trade Me should be brought to heel by the government They appear to have no boundaries and bad feedback is ignored My husband and I are in our 80 s and we are trying to downsize Both of our accounts were suddenly deactivated and I cannot get a reasonable answer why I have emailed over 40 times and then rung by a rude bullying woman who talked over me would not let me state my case and then hung up I wish that I could find a way to challenge them but they appear to be impregnable in spite of their disgraceful feedback

Garbage the instant pay system is rubbish The trade me team are muppets they emailed all of the people I was purchasing off not to deal with me due to me using a friend s visa at the time over 3500 worth of purchases canceled for no reason there arw way better apps to use these days trade me used to be great now it s run by muppets

Got scammed on trade me asked for there help Useless and pointless exercise If you pay by bank transfer as most do for purchases trade me are simply have zero interested in investigating scammers using there website to defraud buyers and give zero guarantees Guy probably still scamming under new name They don t care got their commission

Disappointing resolution I met the criteria of being reimbursed through their Buyer Protection policy if purchase was made via Ping However it recommends you to make a Disputes Claim The cost to proceed in Disputes Court would outweigh the money lost in the first place I feel like I ve been scammed by both the scammer and Trademe

A thoroughly unethical business hiding behind no phone contact and poor staff They appear to be above any laws and can act in any way that they choose No way to challenge them and their business practices How has NZ come to the point when a business can be allowed to trade in this unchallengeable manner Their feedback is atrocious but still they continue I cannot explain the detrimental effect that T M s actions have had on my life

Watch out for APP scams due to database breach

Got scammed by hacked account so did multiple others trademe notified me the next day that account was comprised not sure how long for but users email wasn t hacked only the trademe account Asked trademe for details of the hacker and hack and they fail to provide Essentially this site facilitates fraudulent and criminal behaviour by not updating security to provide protection to users Likely a trademe database breach Will not be trading on this platform again

Applied for a job at trade me went through a telephone interview second zoom interview then a 3rd interview in which took 4 weeks in total Too long for someone to wait for an outcome unorganised no idea

Almost impossible to contact unless you like their Bot not Any honest business you would be able to phone I recently had an unsold item I wanted to offer a fixed price offer to the 5 supposed watchers I was not given that option and the watchers disappeared This was their response Sorry for the trouble we re upgrading some background systems that power Trade Me While we do this some features won t be available on certain listings In the meantime you ll need to relist instead Watchers will be notified it s back up for grabs provided they re opted in for these emails in their preferences What crap If Trade me are doing supposed upgrades and some services are not available shouldn t it s members be advised I don t believe there were actually any watchers May be a ploy to get you to pay for another relist Trade Me you deserve to go bust And you are so Woke
