SCAMMERS
A SCAM - AVOID RISKING YOUR MONEY SAFTEY Such a shame that the reputable brand for classic style motorcycles would be tarnished by their own brand of insurance for riders Luckily I never had to call upon the insurance I took out for a claim otherwise I very much believe I would be in serious trouble I signed up for a 1 year insurance package for my street scrambler through a comparison site They were around the 2nd or 3rd cheapest option but thought a great match up to have the brands of both bike and cover the same After choosing a payment plan of monthly with a deposit I was set and rode out the year At the end of the term I shelved the bike and didn t renew as I opted to sell my bike going forward This is where the problems and the horrific service comes into play I received emails titled Invitation to renew followed by Cancellation letter and Confirmation of Cancellation and end of cover As any sane human being would interpret these deliver the message that the insurance has come to an end they offer to opportunity to renew then with a decline in that offer proceed to end the term How wrong was I One night I received a text message out of the blue saying that debt collectors had been informed of my refusal to pay and I had a countdown before legal action and forced debt collection would be taken Strange when I have no cover I then decided to investigate deeper into all the emails and letters from the past and found out that these scammers use the sly practice of page 3 4 small print hiding an automatic renewal clause in their Invitation Offer that doesn t invite you at all it auto starts a new term without offering you the opportunity to review the rate illegal or sign off on it all Luckily my bank blacklisted them with swift prejudice when trying to charge my account for 300 which wasn t on a payment plan nor was it the correct amount to begin with But it gets far worse I then find out the amount they are trying to send goons to my door to collect is in fact a 1 year full payment of insurance when they cancelled my insurance after 1 failed payment and the total insurable time period on the new term was 1 month illegal Laughable I contacted support which after 1 hour of holding and being passed around I spoke with a wonderful rep who was a credit to customer support explained the situation and she wholeheartedly agreed this was malpractice unwanted unwarranted and completely understood my frustration She then however stated they couldn t do anything for me unless I could prove I didn t want the insurance to which I gleefully stated I can prove it via the lack of MOT and the for sale ads After sending these to the requested email I get a snotty response saying they don t accept the GOV uk website as a trusted source for MOT s and that it wasn t proof I didn t want the insurance however they never gave me any further steps to follow Obviously insinuating that the case was closed After that I have since been contacted directly by the debt collectors starting their demands which I will gladly inform them of their contractors malpractice Triumph insurance this is unacceptable I hope this catches enough riders eyes to avoid choosing to do business with this shady company as they are the only one on the market doing this Not at all worthy of carrying the trusted Triumph brand name TLDR -They autorenew your policies with smallprint then attempt to charge you a year in advance then cancel the insurance and send debt collectors after you for the full amount without reason -Customer service ignore you as best as they can then cut off contact with you when they have an indefensible position DO NOT INSURE WITH THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE YOUR SAFETY FINANCIAL STATUS AND WELLBEING ARE AT RISK

Absolutely shocking customer service
I have been with Triumph Insurance for a number of years now and have been riding Triumphs since 1986 Due to my age and our families desire to move abroad we immigrated and I sold my bike in the UK and moved abroad At the time it was more convenient just to let the policy run but I advised Triumph Insurance that I had sold my bike which they were happy to continue with the policy in case I returned back to the UK Due to that we have no plan to return to the UK and we were shutting the UK bank account I advised Triumph Insurance that we need to cancel the policy Rather than send me a email advising on the final balance direct to me they sent to my Triumph portal which I can not access not even via a VPN So after not hearing anything from Triumph Insurance I chased and chased after which I then received a threatening email advising that if I didn t pay with in 24hrs Debt Collectors will be instructed So even though I have been chasing them now this is my issue to resolve So I gave my access details to a family member to log on in my name to pay and you guess it their system wont take the payment which I guess is now my problem to resolve Completely unsatisfactory service from these people and to frank this is not what I come to expect from Triumph Motorcycles

Lousy Experience
Having paid to insure my Triumph Tiger had an email that stated they needed to check a few things Having answered all their questions honestly they increased the premium I pointed out that the website doesn t give you the opportunity to inform them of everything they wanted to know and any increase in the premium was unfair I had no choice but cancel the policy even though it still wasn t live and was charged 65 for doing so Not happy that a much loved British brand is smeared by such lousy insurance tactics

Incompetent Dishonest Scammers
I had the same issue as another person on here Bought a new bike took out insurance and answered their questions correctly via the website but they had a question about a claim that didn t go ahead an old enquiry They then wanted another 80 or 65 if I cancelled the cover and went elsewhere The policy wasn t even active and was due to start in a weeks time I like Triumph but not as much after this experience Looking forward to going with an honest company next year

Terrible company
Terrible company Took out a policy with them for my new bike as came in about the same price as others and had the Triumph logo on it so thought would be good Answered all the questions they asked A few days later received an email saying some of the details I provided were incorrect and to call them Called them and provided the details they asked for Said they can still provide insurance but the price quoted was double supposedly due to modifications that I didn t declare which they didn t even ask for online and which are a standard Triumph product they are not even aware of Arrow exhaust Charged a cancellation fee of 65 for not providing any service what so ever and being unable to provide insurance even remotely in a similar price bracket to what they originally agreed to Need to sort their online forms out and ask the questions they actually need to ask or ask before agreeing to policy and demand payment rather than after the fact and then keep money Terrible company that I ll certaintly not use again and a stain on the Triumph name Only wish I had read the comments on here before signing up as this seems to be a standard way of operating Triumph insurance does regularly judging by the other comments here Avoid at all costs Will be going with Bennetts again for my insurance

Completely misleading and greedy
Completely misleading and greedy Have taken Triumph insurance for my new motorbike through Money Supermarket After the policy was finalised then came the online registration Then came NCB proof And finally ended up cancelling the policy paying almost double the cost of a monthly payment just after 20days because the questionnaire they asked was not proper or to the point while finalising the policy On top tried to charge a cancellation fee also for not my mistake Have finalised another policy through compare the market which was very precise and economical

Trying to hike the premium
Like others I took out and paid for a policy only to get an email querying the details I inputted on the comparison site They said that I had inputted my job as a dispatch driver instead of courier driver I told them that courier driver wasn t listed but they said it definitely was I ve double checked and it isn t That was only one of 3 or 4 odd queries from them about my data details and the wording of questions on the comparison sites Definitely tactics used to up the premium Don t use Triumph insurance Their use of the name is a disgrace and I will be writing to Triumph Motorcycles about this and contacting the insurance Ombudsman In the end they said that because I have a job as a driver they can t offer me insurance for my bike
