"Concept and process is great and works "

Concept and process is great and works well Only issue is the app crashes often When you get a notification and click on it to view in the app the app crashes nearly 100 of the time on Android You then need to open app again and it works fine

"Using Trusted Housesitters has been good and no so good thus far far "

Using Trusted Housesitters has been both good and bad so far My experience has been three housesits and one cancellation My first sitter failed and threatened legal action against me when she disliked my review The cancellation was just a week before my trip and I do not believe that the sitters reason family matters was valid It seems a cancellation should be detailed and if a pattern of canceled sits by a sitter becomes apparent then THS should follow up and possibly flag What worries me is that a house sitter knows EVERYTHING about me and my house yet parent owners only know what the sitters write in their profile My last sitter was evasive I never knew her last name or anything about her She was even reluctant to say where she was from even though she had a very distinctive accent it just seems that the sitter has more protection than the pet owner does from THS

"I did two recent sits"

I did two recent sits Both were great families and pet parents with comfortable homes and neighborhoods My only issue was that both ended up one day shorter than the request had indicated I would like the app to show a start date and approximate time as well as a return date and time In the first case I was left scrambling for a hotel for a night I thought I would be pet sitting The second time I ensured I confirmed their return date

"This app is awesome "

This app is awesome The only thing I would improve is the inbox Is hard to find messages and they don t stay in chronological order and sometimes duplicate Also there should be a button that lets you go through you unread messages so it is easier and more effective to manage the app Everything else I love it

"Love it but not the new changes"

I have used TH since 2019 and love it I have recommended many people join However I definitely DON T LIKE some of the recent changes The biggest one is that applications close after only 5 applicants I think it should be 10 The other thing I HATE is that I can t contact a person about a sit if I already have one booked at that time Because I m sitting in one city lots of great sits come up that overlap by only one or two days and are in the same neighbourhood It would be really easy for me to arrange with the new sit to come a day late and just drop in to see their cats on that first day but TH has recently changed it so you can t contact them apply if you have conflicting dates I could understand you making it so I can t apply but I should be able to at least send them a message in case they re amenable

"Love most everything about the sitGlitche and "

Love most everything about the site and process however I had a huge problem sending my home guide I didn t send with my acceptance as it was 5 months away About a month out I was ready but couldn t figure out how to do it I requested assistance and received an email providing step by step assistance Unfortunately it referred to something on my Dashboard that didn t exist Please review the process of sending when it is after acceptance and see if you can resolve this problem for the future Thanks

Sadly the confirmed sit section doesn t open on my iPhone and hasn t for over a week Would also be helpful for pet parents to be able to indicate somewhere if their pets are chipped or not Thanks

"Thank You for the Pet Sitter"

The experience was great because we had a good experience with out sitter first and foremost The sitter was on time and corresponded well upon the initial meeting and then was wonderful with photos etc during our trip She would always answer our correspondence She did all the things that we needed from a sitter kept Alfie safe secure having fun socialized and I assume fed since there was a happy dog when we came home Thanks

"My thoughts on THS as a newbie joined about 6 months ago "

Since joining THS about 6 months ago I have completed 2 sits in Vancouver BC where I live and this time I have completed 2 more sits in Denver CO with 4 more to go in the city I have found the owners and pets to be fantastic really kind generous friendly and helpful people and the pets have given me so much joy as my goal is to follow the instructions the owners leave me and most importantly bond with the pet s They have all been so very sweet and loving The reason I did not give 5 stars is because I wish there were more long-term stays My preference would be 3-6 months and at the very least 1 months I didn t find many that are long-term I also have a suggestion for the app It would be very handy to have Reviews as a dropdown menu It s a little confusing to find certain things Just a small suggestion Otherwise if you don t mind shorter-term stays I have found THS to be wonderful in every way Thank you
