Watch out for delivery charge
I had an email confirming my purchase and price with zero delivery charge as promised I was then telephoned with a demand for a delivery payment of 20 Take it or leave it Never experienced this before Not acceptable Ordered from another site Same product 25 cheaper and no delivery charge Still waiting for refund 5-7 days they say Nice little earner for them borrowing my money

Stitching coming apart
Chair looks lovely but after a few months the stitching in the arm started coming apart The chair is hardly used so isn t due to hard wear and tear Emailed customer services but had no reply

No customer service when things go wrong then ban you from purchasing again
This company has no customer service standards I ordered a footstool which showed as out of stock until the end of May Then in mid April it suddenly showed up earlier than expected Great I thought except this one had a manufacturing error The base holes were in the wrong place meaning it could not be assembled without causing the stool to rock I sent them a polite email pointing out the problem and asking them to rectify it They replied without apology but asking for photographic evidence of the defect I provided this evidence and repeated my request for an exchange They refused to agree to an exchange and arranged a collection As soon as they had the item back in their hands they sent me a photo claiming it showed the assembled item not showing any problems I asked for evidence that this is the defective item it is uniquely identifiable by a label and they refused to provide this evidence instead claiming I am abrasive and that they would not sell me anything else I believe the item they sent me was another customer s reject - why else would they suddenly be able to supply one when officially it still showed as out of stock on the website They resented having to accept a return I would not recommend this company I should have checked TrustPilot first

Immoral company - avoid
Do not use this company they are a cowboy outfit Quality of chairs is poor Ed Sloanes customer service skills leave a lot to be desired rude and condescending Delivery they use is poor and asked me to help carry the chair into the house and broke a picture frame On further reading on the website conditions for returning an item are completely unrealistic and at your own expense Absolutely shocking Do NOT do business with this company you will regret it

Damaged goods poor customer service
I recently ordered a new armchair from this company and it arrived damaged in several places They did offer a replacement or refund so I arranged to spend another day at home The second chair arrived but was also damaged The agreed collection however did not take place as agreed and no-one contacted me to let me know leaving me waiting an entire day at home and ending up with two damaged chairs and a lot of packing materials I then had to take another day off work and wait for both chairs to finally be removed A week later the company refunded me That was the only efficient part of their operation I ve waited several weeks before posting this review but have decided to do so as a warning to others who may be seduced by their warm looking website Two chairs had apparently been damaged in either storage or transit The delivery company send just one man who drops it off You have to then unpack it yourself In the T C about returns it states that the purchaser is responsible for re-packing it using the original which was very difficult and took a long time as it had had to originally been cut off just to get it into the house My biggest issue is the shockingly poor communications Phone calls not answered voice messages not responded to emails ignored and a real lack of information which caused me to waste a lot of my time The upshot is that I had to take three days off work spend a ridiculous amount of time trying to re-package them and deal with the problems experience a lot of stress and frustration and have ended up with no chair Even when I emailed them to confirm the chairs had finally been collected and attached photos so they could see how they had been packaged they ignored it I wish I had never spotted them online Never again A very unpleasant experience

Worst rudest company ever
What a terrible company I ordered a red tub chair and was delivered what looked like dusky pink The box was all damaged and broken on arrival like it had come from the back of the warehouse somewhere I checked the website and it looked nothing like the colour on the website I called the company and spoke to Anna Griffiths Office and Marketing Manager and she was very rude and very condescending She told me I should have ordered a fabric sample and started rattling off that I would have to pay for a courier and take out insurance and that it was totally my responsibility there was nothing they could do I emailed my disappointment to the company and attached a screenshot of the colour I ordered on the website and the colour arrived and who should reply Anna Griffiths with a very condescending email Something tells me this is an issue the company deals with all the time as the instructions they tell you are like they re reading it off a script because they are so used to complaints Needless to say she told me if I was unhappy with the colour of the chair to sell it Absolutely do not deal with this company Worst customer services rude staff and product is not what s reflected on the website

Poor delivery service - read the small print
I can t comment on the quality of the chairs which I ordered from Sloane Sons because I had to cancel the order due to delivery issues Short read - please check the small print before you order and make sure that you can be available to answer the door for your delivery from 8am to 6pm - you will not get advance warning of a time slot or possibly even information that you have missed your delivery And Sloane Sons which charge you for returned deliveries Long read on my recent experience Sloane Sons use TNT for the delivery - delivery was attempted on 24th January but as the buzzer for my apartment building isn t working I was not aware of this I did not receive any communication from TNT or Sloane Sons about the missed delivery I tried using the online tracker to find out where my chairs were but I got an error message with the reference number provided I used the Sloane Sons webchat to find out what was happening - apparently I had to add a 0 to the end of the number TNT couriers do not have company mobile numbers and so cannot phone or text to contact you when attempting delivery And Sloane Sons suggestion was that I leave a note for the courier to ask them to leave the chairs on my doorstep or give them my mobile number Neither sensible given that my flat is in the centre of Newcastle When I pointed out the poor customer service offered by TNT Sloane Sons the person who had phoned me said that he was going to cancel my order I don t think they had been trained in customer services or possibly were having a bad day as they were very shirty and patronising I m not sure what anyone who had hearing difficulties or say took a long time to answer there door due to mobility issues would be expected to do in this case Sit on their doorstep waiting for the delivery perhaps

The colour of the chair that was delivered looked nothing like the photos image is of the yellow angel chair Edward Sloane was patronising and unsupportive I returned the product at my own expense and had to chase them multiple times for an update on my refund False advertising and bad service avoid at all costs
