Tymbank - If you want to donate money against your will I opened a cased of fraud with Tymbank s so-called anti fraud division who were supposed to investigate the circumstances of fraud that occurred on Mother s Day and 3 weeks ago and they have done absolutely nothing to assist and instead they have made my life more difficult As soon as I had realised that my account had been hacked I asked to block my account which they did But what they do not tell you unless you ask the question is that monies can still move in and out of your account They also did not bother to block my card when I reported the incident When I reported the incident Tymebank did not let me know the protocol of opening an investigation knowing that I was in a state of panic and distress so I went back and forth to the police station The first thing they should have done send me a statement with the transactions in question and when I report the incident to the police I needed to ask for a copy of the affidavit and email it to them Then when following up on who would be investigating the incident at Tymbank on the 21st June on two instances I was cut off before I could get a name On the third call I was told that they can not provide this information over the phone It s my account and underwent all the relevant security checks but they can not tell me who is handling the investigation On the fourth call I was told that the case in what they call a view basket and it had not been allocated yet Then the fifth call I was told that the investigator was Wallacs The operator who handled this call was really good at victim blaming and reprimanded me because I asked valid questions that she had no answers to On the sixth phone call I was not only give the same name of the investigator on this case but was told that it had been allocated on the 18th May which was hog wash because it was not allocated on the 21st May so how is it that they now state it was allocated on the 18th May After running back and forth to the police station because Tymbank do not know how to advise their victims on what to do to open a case at the police station I finally could send my statement to their division There is no automatic response when sending the email to them The next day I resent it and found that Tymbank has listed my email address as spam through their server Same goes for their service center and their compliance center I then sent a WhatsApp to their Tymbank number and I was asked went I sent the email I let them know and they ghosted me there too My questions that I was scolded for asking were things like How did the mer know my full name and surname and how did he know I banked with Tymbank How did he know my card number and what transactions I had made before he had asked my security questions How is it possible that an investigation is done with out calling me to verify certain things with me Had they called me they would have been told that one of the operators that I had spoken to sounded exactly like my hacker The lady became so impatient with me and told me straight out that I would never see my money again Their was no sincerity or empathy from her what so ever Why is there not better security on the Goalsave accounts It should not be that easy to withdraw money from these accounts yet it was done Why can money still move in and out of the account after it s been blocked A person entrusts a financial institution with their hard earned monies and clearly your money is not secure and that a thorough investigation into the matter was not done by Tyme bank No trace was done to the number of the fraudster Tymbank can not be trusted at all Tymbank s mission should to drive meaningful financial inclusion by making banking more accessible to all South Africans especially scammers

2 hours of Shame and disgruntling service
I want to share an unfortunate experience I had over the weekend I was robbed and lost all my belongings so I promptly contacted Tyme Bank to block my card and app When I visited the branch yesterday I received excellent assistance from a helpful ambassador named Sbusiso Vilakazi based in Tshepisong Unfortunately he couldn t issue me a new card as my account was flagged for fraud Sbusiso was kind enough to lend me his phone so I could contact the Fraud department but it took me over two hours to get through I had a difficult time with the consultants I spoke to namely Ayanda Katherine and Palesa However the last person I spoke to was extremely rude and unhelpful Despite explaining my situation and successfully completing security verification she was dismissive and told me to call back once I had a phone This lack of empathy and assistance was disheartening I m grateful for Sbusiso s help and support during this difficult time Moving forward I will be closing my account with Tyme Bank and will not recommend it to anyone due to the pathetic service receive from these consultants especially the last one I spoke to by the name of Philisiwe Ngcobo

I blem my myself by opening this account I don t want to lie since May 2024 I can t used my card I keep on phoning them with my airtime but I don t find any help am so stressed and tired for this now I wish I didn t put my saving there am frustrated with everything about this tyme bank am pissoff I just want my money then am closing this account

Someone is using my ID number I can t open an account Customer service is pathetic I had yet to receive a case number from Tymebank which I can take to SAPS Everytime I contact Tymebank I have to listen to rehearsed apologies That s where the customer service stops Appalling

Chew peoples money for no reason
I m extremely disappointed with Tyme Bank s services Since opening my account I ve experienced unexplained deductions despite not using my account I ve tried to cancel my account multiple times but the issue persists Every time I deposit money a significant portion disappears For example - Deposited R200 balance showed R120- Deposited R60 balance showed R5 54The customer service agents promise to resolve the issue but nothing changes I m frustrated and concerned about the security of my funds Issues 1 Unauthorised deductions2 Inaccurate account balances3 Poor customer service

My husband is with tymebank
My husband is with tymebank Few weeks ago his personal account has been put on debit hold just before his monthly salary came in Opened the business account and deposit some money in the after they activated his account was about R3000 So we left the money there Here by the 2 3 October 2024 there came money in the the business account and went out without our knowledge Now both of the accounts is on debit hold We have been calling and calling My husband gave me power of attorney on his accounts and we sent them trough to them Eventually we got hold off the fraud department and then this one guy came and tell me that they never heard off something like power of attorney Anyway we still on debit hold and seems like they just don t care about it Very unhappy with tymebank
