Former Employee very disappointed
Was employed there for a number of years in several different capacities the organization was poorly run and negligently directed There was no such thing as input from upper management mid to low-level supervisors were basically told Keep things functional don t spend any money which works about as well as you think Was asked many times to do illegal activity was lied to about tuition reimbursement was regularly overworked to the point of physical collapse and the lowest of all they stole several hours of my PTO time They value patient perception above actual outcomes and medical necessity and are downright ruthless when it comes to catering to VIP s they terminated a co-worker because she once said no problem as it implied that there could be a problem for this local media type If you re a academic researcher physician or some kind of specialist physician I m sure UCMC will be a great place for you For all other departments however ED public safety marketing HR etc it is a complete mess and should be avoided if at all possible Benefits are bad the pay is worse and fundamentally you are not going to help anyone the organization is too large and too poorly led The only reason for anyone to be an inpatient is for significant trauma or an organ transplant If you re reading this and want to be admitted for any other condition besides those do not Go to Christ or St Elizabeth UC Health will let you down take it from someone who was on the inside

I was just seen in the ER at UCHEALTH
I was just seen in the ER at UCHEALTH Longs Peak Hospital I was there for a UTI that has not resolved and both kidneys are in pain as a result The doctor on duty had the nerve to tell me that getting sepsis from a UTI is not life threatening He only checked urine and did not even check blood for white cell counts or to see if any other problem was there Wow I felt very dismissed and frustrated at this doctors lack of caring for patients What a joke I ll never go back
