Worst ever bank in Malaysia
I am an ex-Citibank customer and got stuck with UOB because UOB decided to buy the company and screw it up I have the worst ever experience with the credit card team I am not getting any helps from UOB customer service team after 1 secure e-mail and 5 phone calls within the last 2 months so have not choice but to write here UOB closed my account due to late payment which occurs as a result of the bad card transition process from Citiibank to UOB and wrote me an e-mail to say they will refund the excess payments that I made into the account After responding to the e-mail and rang multiple times they have not transferred the fund to me 30 years of relationship with Citibank has just gone down to the drain

UOB Thailand Beutiful building but awful service
Visited UOB wealth banking desk in the impressive new UOB HQ on Sukhumvit road Bangkok The building itself and available wealth banking lounges lounges are impressive However my experience in trying to arrange an international transfer bordered on the farcical It took over an hour and involved at least six staff in addition to the desk clerk I was unfortunate enough to encounter Staff consistently offered conflicting information and i was asked multiple times for the same basic information The most egregious examples were being asked for my passport on two separate occasions and being asked for the amount of the transfer four times Staff seemed to lack basic knowledge of UOB systems procedures and products I was misinformed on multiple occasions resulting in both frustration and a near complete lack of confidence in the service I was receiving Communication was awful and the main person helping me looked utterly disinterested in fulfilling my needs Overall my experience was awful and genuinely concerning as I may in the future have a serious banking problem and I now have near zero confidence that I could rely on UOB staff to offer me meaningful and effective help and support when I really need it

UOB Lousy service-online offline Frustrating wasting our precious time
UOB advert attractive credit card promotion gift I called and asked whether the promotion gift is still available at first the bank staffs were unsure but after I told them where I saw it they confirmed still available and that I can apply with the branch So I drove all the way to the branch pay parking ticket on a hot sunny day I waited and the counter person took my information and says promotion only available for online submission I drove back home and went through the online form which they claim 5 minutes but in fact so many documents ic front back 3month payslip epf proof address signature home address work address emergency contact how many years months you work how many years month s previous employment designation work nature education your house stay how long is it own or rent I finished after 1 5hours at 830pm like a student doing a homework When i click submit it says SERVICE UNAVAILABLE TRY later If your online is OFFLINE turn the form off so that I dont feel like a dummy rushing late night homework I have so many things to do need to use this idiotic service If your service is screwed shut it down instead of wasting our time I submitted a case 240327220325

Oh my Lord WORST BANK EVER Ongoing problems with their app Had to phone call center 6 times Average waiting time with call center 16 minutes Heard I will follow up and call you back 6 times NOT ONCE did they call back I m done with UOB

I miss Citi UOB customer service is awful
Was a happy Citi customer for more than 20 years before the move to UOB Then everything changed Poorly designed and implemented online app Inefficient unhelpful and poorly trained customer service folk often with an unpleasant attitude The time taken for international wire transfers to reach my account is ridiculous Then on one occasion I accidentally wired a credit card payment of 20 000RM instead of 2 000RM and though I called them withing 30 mins of the transfer the response was Cannot help the funds are already wired to your account I will be closing my account as soon as possible

Their Privilege service is NOT privilege
Their Privilege service is taking longer time than a normal service And their concierge line always under maintenance redirect back to normal customer service line They name they provide a privilege service for premium account holder from my POV they are providing normal service only

UOB Thailand the worst bank
UOB Thailand took over the customers from citi Thailand at the same conditions It took 2 weeks 5 hours of work because NO ONE new at the branch in Pattaya how to make an international transfer The support from the so called account manager was more than week And finally they charged me even the transfer should be free of charge

UOB Malaysia delivered the WORST Customer Service experience
UOB Malaysia has given me the worst Customer Service experience in terms of Credit Card handling I ve recently misplaced my credit card only while jogging nearby my condo and I made a call immediately after I realised that I have lost the card During the call I mentioned at least twice to the person on-call that I would prefer to pick-up the new card ASAP at any nearest branch to me However I received an SMS a week and a half later saying that my new Credit Card has departed to be delivered to my doorstep As convenience as it sounds I specifically asked to pick-up to avoid any delivery-related issues which has now happened since the Tracking Number I received was already slightly dubious and now I still have yet to receive my Credit Card Once I receive my credit card in the upcoming week hopefully I will start processing a new Credit Card application from a different bank that I trust better

I call uob customers service 30x regarding saving was lost into my account i made a police report 2x and submitted but only uob saying they wont return the money that lost to my account sounds very annoying they send otp to my number and enter it to use it but the otp that uob given was ng enter to the transaction coz the number no more using very impossible that somebody enter the otp without the person acknowledge ridiculious experience with uob and scary u keep saving money to your account but somebody very easy to access it even sending otp and no enter still can steal ur money inside
