Uswitch - how do they live with themselves

Uswitch advertised a tariff with my existing supplier EDF whereby it stated I would get a saving of 140 18 per year I went through the process and arrived at the final confirmation page which said something like congratulations you are signed up to save 119 per year I phoned Uswitch and spoke to a very concerned very friendly lady who said she saw the discrepancy said she would talk to her superior and get back to me within a few hours Oh course she didn t How do these people and companies live with themselves Deceitful cheating outfits

Don t be fooled by these SCAMMERS

I was attracted by the claims of instant comparison for business energy so I completed the form but when they asked for a phone number I knew it was a scam So I didn t complete the form yet I still got a phone call from one of their agents They do not offer comparisons it s just a lead generating website so they can sell your details to cold callers Beware of these SCAMMERS

AVOID Nasty pushy cold calling hard sell experience afterbeing handed over to a subsidiary JV called Bionic nothing like what you expect from uswitch and get in the private sector Was trying to not even let me read the small print Used uswitch to try and avoid exactly this

They won t quote you until you leave a phone number

Annoying website where you spend time typing in the information they require but you won t get a quote until you ve given them your phone details mobile preferred And agree to By pressing Finalise my quotes you agree to receive email Whatsapp and SMS messages regarding your appointment quotes and confirm you agree to have read and understood our website Terms and Conditions No thanks Aborted Waste of time

Harvest your details and sell on

This is just a website that harvests your details and passes sells them on to cold callers Don t be fooled I filled in the form and got to the point where I agree to get quotes by phone I don t accept sales calls so I aborted I still got a call from a very agressive salesman DO NOT USE

He lied to me from the very start

I was looking for a new tarriff for business gas and electrcity and stumbled on this site I filled in the first screen with my company name and address When the next screen asked me for my phone number emails etc I decided not to continue I used a similar company previously and it took ages for the calls to stop At this point I had not provided anything but company name and address I closed my computers window 10 minutes later the phone rang it was uswitch My immediate reaction was to ask where he had got my phone number from He said I had given it to him I said that was not true He said yes it was true and that I had done so online I told him I had not so he changed his mind to say his system gave him my number He must have googled it but anyway I had NOT given any permission to call or suggested in any way that I wanted contacting - particularly by someone who s prepared to lie to me as soon as the conversation had started

Tried it on with a 400 increase More expensive than the competition and going direct don t waste your time

Apparently they have to set a salesman on your phone before they re able to give you a quote When I got the quote it was 30 more expensive than the next broker This equated to a 400 increase on the current rate The next broker was more expensive than just going direct to the company They admitted they get 5-600 every time they connect someone the salesman was ignorant enough to believe the energy companies are paying this without realising the costs are simply passed on to us and it shows in the 30 extra they asked for over the next quote These companies are making record profits whilst increasing rates 400 It is disgusting greedy and corrupt The bosses are getting record bonuses all documented in the news whilst simultaneously pillaging the population Avoid this system as much as possible especially this and any broker There is nothing specialised in filling out boxes on a computer adding a markup and wasting your time on the phone These people simply should not exist let alone on something that is a necessity to everyone Probably better off taking a loan and getting solar panels than dealing with this cartel level of corruption

Data harvesting waste of time Can t get quote online Then when I wrote negative review they complained to Trustpilot to say experience not genuine even though you can quite easily see it s still the case today and I m not alone in my reviews Don t waste your time They clearly want their many negative reviews whitewashed

Awful company signed me into a fix contract when prices are at there highest and I didn t even give them my permission they just went ahead and signed me up against my will
