Absolute worst bank in Canada

Absolute worst bank in Canada I had no idea it was a bank for welfare check s well that is untill they cut off my internet access for having to much money in my checking and refused too put thousands in their savings programs so they said if we don t make money you cannot use our services no real problem there s no shortage of places to put your money but for your own use and access I will never recommend VanCity but then even the homeless need a bank I guess

Discriminated Against from Pinetree Vancity Teller

I have have 3 Business account at Pinetree Vancity branch for over 10 years this will be the last year I always do all my transactions online and go to the branch every 6-8 weeks On March 7 2024 I went to do some in-person transactions The teller Georgette R was very rude impolite and disrespectful I emailed a complaint to the admin received a phone call and email from the assistant manager and then the branch manager but nothing happened I filed a complain with BC Human Rights Tribunal based on the discrimination I encountered from this teller given my old age and being non-white I m in the process of withdrawing my 3 bank accounts from this bank I do not recommend that you deal with this bank unless you can accept insults from a teller like this person

Terrible card services

While we have had an account at Vancity for over 22 years this will be the last year Had a nightmare experience when for NO reason or warning my wife s Enviro Visa was arbitrarily blocked After spending an hour on the phone with their card services had never gotten an explanation of why or what could be done The card never has an outstanding balance and is always paid automatically by significant cash on deposit at their Robson Street branch WARNING You should not rely on their Enviro Visa for international travel It s an ugly experience thinking about my 76 year old wife sleeping on the floor at the airport

Need lots of the time and patience to go the branch they serve each customer at least half hour Not sure what transaction take they are doing take more than half hour shortage of staff is another problem No manager managing too

Ruined Credit

They ruined my credit when my card was being frauded I ve tried to follow up for two years and nothing has been done I went from having credit in the low 800s to having a credit score of 650 The customer service people are nice and on the phone or by email it seems like they are helping you but in the end I still have awful credit How can one bank s error ruin your life so effectively it s crazy

Terrible Credit Union Dealing with my father s estate was an absolute nightmare They fumbled the estate so we had to go through probate twice Which cost us close to 5 000 extra in lawyer fees The manager of estates was in charge of the account and had zero clue what she was doing The employees on the ground are incredible The top end is embarrassing

Been with them for 7 years with my business account and have always had great service and transparent fees I was recently approved for a line of credit and it took literally 24 hours to show up as available in my account
