This company is very responsive and thorough when answering my many questions My son just had his first session with his tutor and they re a perfect match I can t wait to see his understanding of AP Chemistry improve along with his grades with Sebastian s help

Our tutor is the best

It is a pain to setup tutors with varsity tutors There is no single Point of contact and we are directed to a customer care line which may take even an hour for someone to attend the question or take in a tutor request Sometimes as a parent we are so helpless that we have only so much to do when it comes to flexibility with setting up the right tutors as each tutor request takes 1 hr wait time on the phone followed by 2-3 days wait time to get a tutor assigned There should be an email which we could send our request to Update I am happy with the response I have received from varsity tutors They resolved my issue by assigning a 1-1 customer relationship manager who I can contact for any questions concerns This helped in faster resolution of any issues Also tutors are professional and make the class interesting for children

I highly recommend Varsity Tutors When I called them to inquire about the process the person we spoke to was very kind and even spoke to my daughter directly to get a good understanding of what she needed help with She wanted to make sure to match her with someone just right for her The match was perfect We were matched with Avantika who has children close to my daughter s age She prepped for the first session with feedback from us regarding what they were currently testing for and asked for examples of worksheets and previous tests My daughter is in 6th grade honors math and wanted to drop out of honors because she couldn t grasp the way her teacher was explaining ratios and percentages She understood the math part of it but not how to construct a math word problem She needed someone to explain it in a different way and Avantika was able to help her with this Before Avantika she came home crying because of her first F on a test and after just that one session it clicked for her and she came home beaming with a 100 score I think this is what tutors are so good for often someone just needs a different approach and they have the time to work with the student to figure out their learning style As for Avantika specifically she is amazing She texted me from her own number when the app messages wouldn t let me send her examples and when we forgot the password to log in another time she was patient and understanding She is everything I would want in a tutor and Varsity Tutors matched us perfectly
