Bad customer service and dodgy business ethic
I have been a loyal customer of velogear and had no issues until now I found their customer service and my dealings with Jordy in particular absolutely abysmal VERY BAD and dodgy business They flat out refuse to abide by their own terms and conditions or comply Australian consumer rights They fail to make any effort to acknowledge or resolve their mistakes and state repeatedly that they are simply unwilling to help Read more below In this case they sold me damaged item falsely advertised as new and then would not offer a refund exchange or return This is in conflict with their own T C s and unacceptable business practice When the item a bike crank arm arrived I saw the item surface was scuffed up and they had used a pen marker in attempt to cover up the damage I immediately took photographs of the damage and markings The terms and conditions say that we must let them know within 7 working days if there are any issues with the quality of the product We notified them within this time frame and provided evidence of the item condition upon delivery The damage or cover up markings were not in item advertisement or in the advertisement photo Nor was the item sold as a refurbished or used item Therefore the item was not as advertised and the buyer is entitled to refund return exchange as per Australian Consumer Rights Velogear responded unwilling to assist advised that they believed it was actually 7 days to confirm goods not 7 working days This was clearly wrong and they could not produce any evidence of this in their terms and conditions that we checked and said 7 WORKING days They sneakily later changed the T C s to try cover their wrongdoing after the fact Further Jordy insinuated that we may have been responsible for the damage markings Ludicrous We responded with a screen shot of velogear s website terms and conditions at time of purchase and receipt of goods that stated 7 working days not 7 days Therefore the request for exchange refund was in line with their terms and conditions We provided the original photo showing the date the photo was taken proving it was received in this poor condition from velogear on the day of delivery Velogear has either ignored our further correspondence or immediately closed our help tickets submitted and has refused to comply with our requests for resolution as entitled under consumer law If you try call them you go straight to message bank if you write to them it is ignored Once they have your money- After we brought this dispute to them a week later they sneakily changed their terms and conditions to 7 days opposed to the 7 working days to try and get away with it Dishonest unethical sneaky and straight up wrong Avoid them

AVOID this online shop
14 11 22I ordered black lace up mtb shoes18 11 22Velogear supplied white road bike shoes fastened with BoasI advised Velogear immediately and asked for a call to work out the issue 21 11 22I am emailed a postage paid return and it is now my responsibility to correct your mistake I m told by Jordy to mail the shoes via a red post box but it wont fit and hence I have to get to a post office Jordy emails me and advises that as soon as the Aust Post verifies the returns have been mailed Velogear will send the correct shoes Jordy tells me your phones are out24 11 22Item is posted at post office Velogear are advised immediately5 12 22I still don t have the shoes but at least they have been dispatched 7 12 22Shoes arrive with a 10 INSULT coupon 10 off your next purchase when you spend over a set amount - these guys advertise Free Postage - btw that doesn t apply to shoes where the postage is 24 I m still waiting for a callIn summarySomeone at Velogear can t tell the difference between black lace up mtb shoes and white road bike shoes fastened with BoasEveryone makes mistakes but Velogear expect customers to fix it Velogear takes 3 weeks to supply customers and then insults them Velogear boasts 4 9 starts from more that 1000 reviews - when i clicked the link to give my 1 star review the link doesn t work

Order didn t come and they don t like to refund full price
Ordered a bike rack on the 24th of October 23 the order should be with me by the 31st I email Velogear and they ignore me after multiple emails I went through eBay and eBay is just as hopeless to get through to so I could only log an investigation after a certain date Then they said they d look into it and I got an email from Velogear to say theyare busy and if they did a refund it would incur some kind of surcharge lolThen I got PayPal involved and the next morning I received an email from Velo to saythat they only received the order today lolIt is now in the post I won t hold my breath PLEASE FOR YOUR SANITY DON T DEAL WITH VELOGEAR and look elsewhere

Complete crooks
Highly unethical operator avoid like the plague There s a reason for all the negative reviews here Didn t post a derailleur for weeks sent a dodgy one then sought to rely small cosmetic scratches derailleur to claim it s been damaged to escape any responsibility to assist in making warranty claim Now left with a useless derailleur and 90 worse off A thousand negative stars

Avoid at all costs Warehouse scam company Not bike industry friends Velogear sent an inferior product to the documented product I ordered Velogear refused to prepay for return postage and claimed international door-to-door postage and courier postage in Australia did not exist Velogear made insulting personal insinuations in their email correspondence Their actions are in violation of several sections of Australian Consumer Law Secondary to this the state of the box pictured leads me to belive this has been handled roughly on a warehouse floor for the few years this product has been available
