Never will I ever see an example of

Not going to see an example of superior customer service ever again Took the train to Montreal The guy at the station came out to tell us the train the Toronto was going to be late departing Oaktown or oakland I forget the name of the station we left from The train became delayed later and later Each time the announcement came on the agent came out to everyone to tell us the same information that the automatic system had already told us The train was late 15 minute to 25 40 to 50 minutes late Each time he came out embarrassed by the announcements He explained that the delays are making him look bad so he gave us all snacks which was awesome of him Then he explained that the delay will not impact our connection at Toronto since it s the same train anyway He made us all laugh by entertaining us with story telling to help the time pass We were about 12 passengers He came to each one of us sat down next to each one of us and answered our questionsHe spent a few minutes talking to everyone with so much care and attention to assure that we would all make it to our destinations without further delays he explained that the delays were caused by another carrier but did not give us a company name to blame I completely forgot about the delay as time just vanished This guy was a tall guy with short hair maybe Indian or Italian darker shade Any who he just made me want to take the train again Such a calming voice he had There was also a man who had mental problems and he was just in the station and he gave him a water bottle to help feel better because the guy seemed to be lost He even tried to help him to calm down and not be so lost This man was not a passenger My girlfriend could not stop laughing all the way to Montreal She wants to go back to the station just thank him again for his assurances he made to us We will go back to him and thank him ourselves next month

London to Halifax

Took the train from London Ontario to Halifax Nova Scotia when we transferred in Montreal they put myself and my fianc in a sleeper car with our kitten it was the best service the employees were the nicest I ll definitely travel with via rail again in the future

Best experience traveling on train

I traveled from Toronto to Ottawa with all my family and many luggage All VIA Rail s staff is the most kind and friendly people We got help and guidance on every stage Thanks a lot Via Rail

Very affordable

When I travel on the train I always go on business class They have comfortable seats great views and lots of leg room Also you get a hot meal and drinks

BEST trip ever

-such a delightful respectful journey to Ottawa -comfort coach my goodness awesome comfy roomy chairs -awesome train staff helpful respectful-upon arrival to Ottawa as I departed from train with high steps down there was a gentle VIA rail staff person who could see my uncertainty with the steps down by golly I was provided such caring respectful safe support I like to ask for kind souls names to offer gratitude who are so good at their work but I was slightly flumoxed due to my mobility had taken a turn 1630-1835 4 11B -return journey we booked a wheel chair for me-return 27 11 22 1855-2057 3 17BAlex brought me a wheelchair I remembered to ask for her name I was not feeling flumoxed she explained wheel chair would be waiting for me as we arrived Alex brought me to my return train with kindness lovely chat-VIA railstaff came respectfully to me to inform of wheel chair in Montreal would be waiting for me I was supported so well -darn it I forgot to ask VIA rails name I was tired and happy to return to Montreal however he was fantastic explaining that VIA rail wants to provide respectful service to all and when a person like myself has mobility needs it makes kind sense to support respectfully -I must also say I was amazed how clearly I could hear all the VIA rail information shared over the trains system I assure you first time ever for that to be so clear I ve travelled by train for many years in diffirent countries and this journey was by far my best trip EVER -washrooms were very clean for my journey -both my scheduled trains ontime both waysI m a happy train travellor with VIA rail thank you so much merci beacoup

Smiths Falls Via station Too Small

Smiths Falls Via station is way too small Not nearly enough parking and no room in the inside waiting area Only one Washroom and always tons of people

Customer Service Call Answered the phone in 2 rings answered my query immediately and processed my request just as quickly Didn t catch the representative s name but was incredibly helpful in a moment of need
