Please Read This Before You Commit to Buy
I placed an order with VillageCandleAddicts on 23 March and had a shipment notification the following day So far so good However when the parcel hadn t arrived by the following Friday 31 March I used the tracking number provided and the tracking site said it had been delivered on Monday 27 March There were no details provided no photograph or anything I immediately checked with neighbours we often take in parcels for each other and are quick to get them to each other of course they hadn t received anything I checked with my building s reception nothing had been delivered there for me I had done all I could So I quickly sent a friendly and polite email to Village Candle Addicts explaining all of the above and asking if they had received any proof of delivery so I could try to work out where the parcel went No response Sent another email on 4 April No response Followed up a third time on 7 April No response Sent a final email on 13 April expressing my disappointment and advising that I would have to dispute the charge This one got a response Their initial message which arrived the same day was apologetic and gregarious promising to look into the matter However their follow-up email on 14 April seemed to have been written by another person entirely They told me first that they only check email 2-3 days a week I wonder if they meant 2-3 weeks a month and that the parcel had in fact been delivered to me and left outside my door offering to provide proof I said it wasn t delivered and that I d asked for proof two weeks ago and that my first email clearly hadn t been read Their response It has been read thank you here s your proof The proof a photo was of the parcel outside some other door not mine So I said That s not my door Their response HeyMaybe it s not might be your neighbours but it s your Proof of Delivery and your case is now closed May I suggest you pop out and check with your neighbours u can see from the Photo where it is Also please check any other doorways Have a good weekend Maybe it s not my door Wow Suggesting measures that I already told them I d taken in my first still clearly unread email Cool Deciding that as long as a parcel has been delivered to someone somewhere that s a case closed Slow clap So long story short you can take a gamble on these guys But God help you if your parcel is delivered elsewhere or you need any kind of customer service You ll be treated with suspicion and hostility and you won t be getting your items or your money back

Avoid Extremely poor customer service
I really like Bath Body Work products so was really pleased to see a UK stockist and delivery in the UK First order - perfect which made me very excited for the second order which included a gift The gift candle arrived with no wicks on view as if they d been snipped I gave this company an email and they responded saying the cold can do it I gave this gift and my friend tried to light it as she loved the smell However upon lighting it the melted wax pooled around the flame and extinguished it I emailed to return it as clearly wasn t able to use it but because I had lit the candle I d gone against their terms and conditions How can you know if something is faulty until you ve tried it In this case it s to light the candle They ve been extremely unhelpful in trying to provide a positive customer experience or service and for that - it s 1 star and never to use them again and I suggest you don t either Shocking display of behaviour from a supposed small business who should be trying to retain its customer Cheers Heather and Jennie

Awful and non existent customer
Awful and non existent customer service Parcel was never delivered to my address I advised them from day one but I was advised they were not receiving my emails I sent 5 in total to then get advised on fb messenger it s not a PTG fault even though they were the courier I contacted PTG to find out she had already put a claim in Yet won t refund my 131 Now had to do a chargeback with the bank to be reimbursed Oh and I m now blocked on messenger Great way to run a business

Non existent customer service
I placed an order and changed my mind and cancelled sent an email less than 10 minutes later It was completely ignored and the order was shipped I sent another email pointing this out but received no acknowledgement so I can see there is no point returning the goods as I would have to pay and it s unlikely I would get a refund

Awful company and won t be ordering
Awful company and won t be ordering again They sent me the wrong candle and exactly the same one as I ordered last time They won t resolve this and just ignore emails When items are delivered they are late and always open and damaged I m not made of money but they won t resolve issue and just ignore my numerous of emails sent I ll be sure to be letting everyone know on Instagram Facebook etc about this terrible company Complete scammers

Disgusting service
My candle was never delivered to my address just dropped somewhere on the farm by their courier My address is so clear Orchard Cottage yet I never received it No sorry we will replace it the worst customer service ever Please do not buy from this company avoid at all costs Absolutely disgusting

Incorrect Item 3 times
3 times I have received the incorrect items the past two times I kept the items and then re ordered the items I originally wanted costing me more money The 3rd time this happened I have been trying to contact for almost two weeks with no response after I have reached out and sent photos of the incorrect item leaving me now out of pocket with an item that won t be used
