The people today were very derogatory The person said I should take my things to a car boot sale This was very hurtful

Who are they

I am not convinced they are legitimate At a recent roadshow they did not even look closely at what I had taken them - not even an expensive watch They don t have a single review though there are many for VintageRoadshows - good and bad

A farce

A real farce Only one valuer so an enormous queue No porters to help Totally opposite to what their leaflet said Saw many of the items listed being rejected Gave up and walked out as did many others Don t waste your time

Scam

We attended the roadshow in Crowborough yesterday It was a waste of time considering that we took only items that were requested in their brochure The lady that took our names and put us in the queue for an hour was pleasant enough but the appraiser one of two was dismissive and fairly brutal He was not remotely interested in any of the following Vintage Costume Jewellery Silver Plate Antique Pocketwatches Old Fountain Pens Pencils Smoking Paraphernalia Lighters or Miscellaneous items Gave us 20 for 36 pieces of silver cutlery plus 120 for 4 gold rings 1 gold watch A depressing degrading experience Scam

Warning avoid like the plague This feedback is based on my experience today 21st November 2024 at the chaddlewood Centre Plymouth I sent a load of photos of my antiques and collectibles via Whatsapp prior to coming and they said to bring along Met a women who was doing the hosting and not very friendly very stern and spoke at me as opposed to speaking to me I took my items I was asked to bring and filled a table with all my items in excess of 30 items and a man named Jonathan came alone and said that the items I had bought along were not what was advertised in the their brochure When in fact some were exactly the same type that was advertised He didn t like any of my items and was not interested Didn t bother to discuss or give any attention or value They do not know an antique from their elbow I presented an Eileen Gray Jumo No71 lamp They had no clue I said thanks for wasting my time I took timean hour to send photos and was told to bring the items I did so I was not a happy bunny as wasted an hour with me photographing my items and an hour and half to wrap last night and out of the community centre in 10 minutes Oh yeah before I left Jonathan told me to try and lose some weight I am a 51 year oldMale currently 17 stone as suffering from Fibromyalgia Do not go not professional not friendly and amatures pretending to be something they are not

Went along to the to the event today seems to be Irish boys just looking to buy in as cheap as possible gold and valuable items better you go to local reputable dealer as there is no way of knowing where these people are based or address only mobile number beware

We went to South Ville Feltham - Age UK hall for the event V C Roadshow yesterday The brochure advertisement is fascinating however once we were in the event it was dry and depressing We were disappointed as our items which we follow the brochure s list were not accepted Silver Chain for men weighed 110grams silver cup Libra Brass Vintage train toys Real as the appraiser said - Jadeite Bracelet OLD coins and many more We were adviced to go to Auctioneers and Coin Collecters We were frustrated and we were not very happy on the way out regarding the outcome on how the way they handle and deal with our items to sell All posted and sent to their whatsapp as well Not recommended Romel Santillan and Marilou Santillan

If you take gold CHECK THE WEIGHT BEFORE YOU GO

This company baffle you with words Don t look at every item lie about weights make silly offers all in the hooe you get flustered accept their offer and leave quietly TRADING STANDARDS HAVE BEEN INFORMED Thinking back on my experience I should have checked the weights on the scales When I got home the weight I wrote down was double of what they stated Who even are these people Where are they based Quite simply AVOID I was completely ripped off The only thing keeping me happy is that the money raised went to a charity to help children
