We bought an Id3 EV been at dealership since October 1st refuse to look at it until October 18th disgnostics by AA identified over 40 software issues most serious affecting brakes Given a vauxhaul as courtesy car expected to pay for fuel Dealership extremely unhelpful not enough trained technicians how can such a big company sell expensive EVs and not have enough qualified technicians Dealerships response has also been you re agreement is with VW not JCT600 yet the dealership has a VW sign and is where VW instructedus to take the vehicle Customer services don t communicate with customers WILL NEVER BUY VW AGAIN Happy to take 40 000 plus money for servicing yet treat customers disgracefully when the car under warranty develops software issues Dealership and customer services always give conflicting information Premium prices for a well below budget service We had to contact VW uk via Twitter to get any kind of response even then we have to keep chasing things up Customer services said they don t know how long to source parts which is odd considering the dealership says the vehicle hasn t been looked at yet so who exactly is telling us the truth

Issues with connectivity to cloud
Issues with connectivity to cloud started on 27th November now after 16 days and repeated failed call backs and 10 hours on the phone to a combination of digital services and customer services in the UK i am still being told my car isn t connecting to the cloud digital services REFUSE to escalate to technical as they promised they would do on 27 11 and I need to speak to UK Customer service - UK Customer service tell me they can t escalate it to technical and speak to digital servicesWe then get promised call backs but they don t happen ring up and ask to speak to someone else and told the case can t be passed to anyone but the person it s assigned too - I have now requested all call recordings although I was promised these today but that hasn t happened and also now escalated to executive office in UK i did this by contacting the CFO of VW Financial Services who actually called me and agreed it was shocking service and they would escalate it to the executive office of VW UK customer service and I d hear from them today - still waiting for that call backDealership can help but if they find NO fault I will need to pay - yet VW admit ny car isn t connecting to the cloud but refuse to send an email to say they will cover the costsComputer says no seems to be VWs answerUPDATE - so after 17 days the executive office for VWUK have finally stepped in and arranged for my car to be inspected at my local dealer to determine if the fault is the car or software or nothing - the executive office person was extremely helpful and actually cared about me as a customer let s hope the promises are delivered on - will update in due course

I had a horrible experience at VW Watford Mr B B He was in control of the whole conversation He does NOT listen to my needs Firstly I said I wished to see first the car T-ROC but he insisted that it could be done later Secondly I wished to have a higher purchased option then Mr B B salesman verbalised Why do you want that without explaining and showed frustration on his face He also said before my visit that he would reimburse my petrol for travelling to VW Watford but this is just a fantasy This salesman I believe has NO sympathy is not a good listener has poor communication skills and only thinking about getting a sale This horrible experience occurs March 08 2024 at approximately 10 30 hours I came early by 9 am expecting I would be seen earlier than my call time but NO signs of Mr B B even though he said that before me a customer did not turn up

Love the cars but hate the company and dealerships
First point has to be made that we like VW s Had Golf s a Touareg own a transporter and had a T-ROC However their dealerships are appalling namely Breeze Poole and Heritage They talk to my wife like she is a dumb woman which she certainly isn t When test driving their attitude is chauvinist about driving and try and address me She has been a bus driver and ambulance driver There attitude is also horrific with after sales service We are currently having a nightmare with an ID 4 and it s been a year to get it seen to Problems still haven t been rectified Again we love the cars but recommend you avoid

Totally ripped off by Natalie manager at Arnold Clark Crow Road Sold 73 Plate VW Golf was fitted cheap Naxen low budget tyres Car value 22000 she 40 00 cheap budget tyres When complained was very rude and arrogant justifying as long tyre threads have they can fit any budget I was disgusted with Natalie how she manipulating vulnerable customers make profits and make her own bonus may be Hope these kind people get good sleep going down low make buxk deceiving loyal clients to VW

Terrible cars terrible dealer network Ireland
After many happy years with Skoda I made the silly error last year of buying a new VW Arteon Shooting Brake 2 0TDI without doing my research on the company and dealerships first If I had seen all the single stars on Trustpilot I would have shied away The car has had fault after fault which they take days to diagnose and more days to fix never a spare car ignorant staff pretend oil changes major fault in engine at under 9k miles timing belt and everything contaminated in burnt oil they refuse to change the contaminated belts

VW providing misleading information on website and don t care
Do not believe what is written in the used car sales information given on the VW website Bought an ex demo VW ID4 GTX from a dealership in Solihull based on the listing hosted by VW UK which included a system called BLIS Blind Spot Information System fitted as standard equipment it said on the website It is not nor is it fitted as standard on the other 24 similarly aged ID4 GTXs listed on the VW website despite the VW website saying it is standard equipment Over two weeks down the line and still I cannot get a response to my question Why are you listing as standard equipment something which is not fitted at all Customer Services are next to useless promise to email and don t promise to phone and don t To add insult to injury my 2022 ID3 Family which I traded in to the same dealer is listed on their website as having BLIS fitted as standard Having driven the car for 20 months I can happily state that is is not fitted either as standard or as an option
